Chapter Fifty: Guilt (Part Two)

Chapter Fifty: Guilt (Part Two)

At six o'clock in the morning, the sanitation workers on the street were about to finish cleaning when Jiang You got out of the car and rushed into the hospital.

She ran breathlessly to the small park during the day, and sure enough, there was a figure sitting there very upright.

He walked over, panting, stood in front of him, and called out softly, "Song Yun?"

Am I hallucinating again?

Song Yun, who had been hanging his head, looked up for the nth time and saw the girl's face. Her eyes were red and swollen from crying, and she stared blankly for two seconds before realizing that she was not dreaming.

Jiang You opened her mouth to apologize, but the sitting boy pouted, opened his arms and hugged her waist tightly, burying his face in her stomach, his hoodie hood falling back to reveal his fluffy curly head.

“Song Yun, I…”

"Youyou, sob... I, I thought... I thought you didn't want me anymore, sob..."

He tried his best to hold it in, but sobs kept escaping from his throat. His hands on his waist tightened, and his body trembled uncontrollably.

“I’m sorry, I…” Jiang You couldn’t say anything. She couldn’t guarantee that she would stay by his side forever, and she found that any explanation seemed pale and powerless in the face of Song Yun sitting here all night. Besides, Song Wenxi had helped her mother get admitted to the hospital.

Although this was originally a debt of gratitude owed to her, the guilt still lingered in her heart, reaching its peak.

“Youyou, you don’t need to apologize to me,” Song Yun released her, lowered her head, wiped the tears on her face with the back of her hand, and said in a hesitant voice, “Because no matter what Youyou does, I will not blame Youyou.”

Jiang You was taken aback by Song Yun's strong, innocent demeanor. She looked at Song Yun earnestly and said, "No matter what, it was my fault. I'll try my best to help in the future..."

Before she could finish speaking, Song Yun paused in wiping away her tears, her pupils shifted left and right, and as if remembering something, she looked up, revealing a tearful, pitiful face: "Then I want to kiss you."

Even if you're not in the right, you can still be very assertive.

Jiang You took a deep breath, flicked Song Yun's forehead with a finger, and said helplessly, "Is there nothing else on your mind besides kissing?"

“Yes,” the boy raised his hand and pitifully rubbed his forehead, his brown pupils staring at her eyes earnestly and sincerely: “I still want to sleep with you, I still want to…” to be with you forever and ever, to make you my leading lady forever.

"Shut up," Jiang You's face flushed instantly at the mention of going to bed. She interrupted the other person, looked around, and breathed a sigh of relief when she found no one there. "Let's go back first."

"So I've been rejected again?" Song Yun lowered his eyes, stood up, and followed the girl.

Jiang You didn't want to discuss this topic. She took out her phone to call a taxi. It was only six o'clock, and there were very few taxis available.

While waiting for the bus, she saw the boy holding two boxes, standing obediently to the side, with a constant sniffling sound coming from his nose.

"Is this a gift for me?" she asked, changing the subject.

Song Yun remembered this, so he opened the box and took out a small, women's touchscreen watch:

"Yes, long press the button next to it to automatically sound an alarm. Of course, Youyou, you can also call me from there if you want."

"Furthermore, it contains the latest chip developed by Company D, which can maintain good signal reception even in remote, uninhabited areas, allowing us to pinpoint your location."

He looked down at his watch, speaking very seriously. The soft morning sunlight quietly peeked out from behind the clouds, the golden light shining perfectly on his delicate face, making his already clear eyes even more transparent and mysterious.

"Why did you give me this?" Jiang You didn't quite understand; this wasn't like Song Yun's style.

Song Yun raised his head, looking directly at her, a shy smile on his face:

"Because this will never happen in the women's restroom again. As long as you call me, I will run to you no matter where I am."

“Oh, right, and this too,” Song Yun opened another box, “a phone lanyard, which I made myself. It’s wide at the top and thin and round at the bottom, so it’s both beautiful and won’t choke you. Even if Youyou is wearing clothes without pockets, she can still carry her phone anytime, anywhere.”

"So, you came here yesterday just to bring me this?" Jiang You stared blankly at his watch, his throat feeling like it was stuffed with cotton, uncomfortable and sore.

Recalling how she had scolded him yesterday, Song Yun lowered his head like a guilty puppy and whispered, "I'm sorry, I wanted to bring you the watch as soon as I got it."

What if it's just a matter of time? What if?

"It's my fault, I'm the one who should be apologizing..."

“No, I’m just Youyou’s dog,” he bent down, took the girl’s hand and pressed it against his smooth face, staring into her eyes, a slight smile playing on his lips, “No matter what Youyou does to me, you don’t have to apologize.”

He will only ever love Youyou, and will always be loyal to her.

Jiang You silently looked at Song Yun. His heart was originally as calm as a mirror, without a ripple, but at this moment it was as if a gentle breeze had blown through it, causing ripples to spread.

Her lips moved, and she heard her own voice.

"Only one kiss is allowed."
