Chapter Forty-Nine: Guilt (Part One)
The VIP single ward at Sheng'an First Central Hospital is spacious, warmly and elegantly decorated, and offers a wide view. There is a sofa and coffee table for family members to rest.
Jiang You stared blankly inside, experiencing for the first time what it meant to have powerful connections. Really, it's good to be rich.
Li Yanli clicked her tongue and asked, "Dean Xiang, how much does it cost to stay here for one day?"
“80 a day, including three meals,” Dean Xiang, who was over fifty years old, stood tall and exuded composure and competence. After speaking, he looked at the girl next to the middle-aged woman and added, “It’s only so cheap because of Miss Song.”
Jiang You nodded in agreement. That's how it is, otherwise Li Yanli might think it's really that cheap and encourage her relatives to come to the big city for medical treatment.
After leaving Dean Xiang, Li Yanli kept thanking Miss Song and telling Jiang You to thank her properly, while walking outside to retrieve the luggage from the small hotel.
Jiang You accompanied Li Yanli downstairs and out of the lobby. She spotted a person dressed in all black, completely covered up, walking towards them from a distance.
Holy crap, didn't I tell him not to come?
The older generation is driven by sexual desires; when they see a man and a woman of similar age standing together, they assume they have an improper relationship.
Furthermore, she didn't want any men who liked her to meet her parents.
"Mom, I need to go to the bathroom," Jiang You said hurriedly, and walked to the side.
Seeing this, Song Yun changed his walking path.
Jiang You arrived at the fitness equipment in the small park near the hospital. He turned around and saw Song Yun behind him.
She couldn't help but glare at him angrily, her voice rising involuntarily, carrying a reprimanding tone: "Didn't I text you and tell you not to come over?"
At first, she respected him greatly because he was a powerful figure in the wilderness. But Song Yun's antics caused all her prejudice to vanish, and the two returned to their previous relationship.
Moreover, if my mother sees this, the thought of her endless nagging makes me very irritable.
Song Yun had just taken off her mask when she heard the girl's displeased voice. Her smile froze, and her fair face turned pale at a visible speed. It was the first time she had ever seen her so fierce.
Looking at her face, he was at a loss for words, his lips trembling slightly: "Yes, I'm sorry, I came to deliver something to you."
He suppressed a pang of sadness and pulled a box from each side of his pocket: "Youyou, this..."
Jiang You wanted to say something, but then he saw Li Yanli not far behind Song Yun and blurted out without thinking, "Don't say anything. Go sit on that chair over there and hide. We'll talk about it when I get back."
Song Yun blinked her slightly red eyes, nodded obediently, and ran to sit down on the chair she pointed to.
Within seconds, Li Yanli walked over: "I couldn't stop you no matter how much I called you. There's one inside the toilet, what are you doing outside?"
Jiang You didn't say anything and followed his mother back. To avoid being exposed, he actually went to the toilet, just going through the motions.
Then I went to the small hotel to help my mother with her luggage, and bought fruit, bread, water cups and the like outside. When I returned to the hospital, the sun had already set.
There is hot water, a toilet, and a washbasin in the ward.
"Mom, I'm going back to school. I'll come over on the day you have surgery," Jiang You said, slinging his canvas bag over his shoulder as he prepared to leave.
The surgery is scheduled for two days later.
Li Yanli: "I brought bread and fruit; I can't eat that much..."
"No need, we have some in the dorm."
After saying goodbye to Li Yanli, Jiang You took the bus back to his dormitory. Before he could catch his breath, he started working on his group assignments and his individual assignments.
Although the group assignment was still a while away from being due, she didn't have time later and didn't want to hold everyone back, so she had to finish it first.
As she prepared for bed at night, she felt an emptiness in her heart, as if she had forgotten something.
She lay in bed thinking and fell asleep, until she woke up suddenly around 5 a.m. the next morning, remembering that she had forgotten something.
Damn! It's Song Yun.
Jiang You picked up his phone and walked out of the dormitory, muttering to himself, "Answer the phone, answer the phone..."
Song Yun can't be that stupid, right? He's back, isn't he? He wouldn't wait for her all night, would he? Right?
"The user you dialed is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later..."
Damn it! She got dressed, grabbed her keys, and ran towards Song Yun's dormitory.
As dawn broke, Song Yun entered through the back door and found himself in a luxurious single dormitory room.
Jiang You took the key and opened the door. It was pitch black inside. "Song Yun, Song Yun, are you there?"
He forced the key to Song Yun's dormitory to her, but she never came in.
He fumbled for the light and turned it on, illuminating the inside.
A large bed, a desk with a computer on it, and many drawing tools.
The rest were all paper, an overwhelming amount of paper, some on the floor, some pasted on the walls, some placed on the bed, the only exception being that they all had the same person drawn on them.
The strange and chaotic scene made Jiang You's eyes widen. She stared blankly, a certain emotion churning inside her, which she forcefully suppressed.
Actually, she really likes this kind of morbid possessiveness. Her eyes are only on her, and she can't live without her. Only in this way can she feel loved and have a sense of security.
But no matter how much she likes Song Yun or Xia Yan, they are people she can't afford to offend.
Only by remaining unmoved, indifferent to whether the other person leaves or not, can one maintain a dominant position.
Jiang You turned off the lights, closed the door, and took a taxi to the hospital.
Throughout the journey, guilt and worry gnawed at her heart, making her feel extremely uncomfortable.
I remember Song Wenxi telling her that Song Yun was locked in the basement by the kidnappers, so she was very afraid of the dark.
