Chapter Thirteen: A Day of Doubt (Part 3)

Chapter Thirteen: A Day of Doubt (Part 3)

Being carried in a princess carry for the first time in her life, Jiang You was completely awake. Her face flushed red as she struggled to get down.

"What are you doing?" Xia Yan licked his fangs unhappily. This heartless guy, it was the first time he had ever hugged someone, and he was already being disgusted by it.

They maliciously lifted the person up a little.

Jiang You was so frightened that he gripped the fabric of his clothes tightly at his chest, his fingers curling nervously as if afraid of falling.

Xia Yan adored his dependent little face, and a smile curved her lips.

He walked into the hall, bent down slightly, and gently placed the girl on the high chair in front of the long table. He then hooked his arm around her waist and gave her a deep kiss.

Summer nights always come late; it's still bright outside at six in the afternoon.

The sky seemed to be shrouded in blazing orange-red flames, presenting a magnificent and spectacular scene.

Xia Yan ravaged her mouth until she pounded her chest with both hands, gasping for breath, before reluctantly releasing him.

"Let me serve you some soup."

Jiang You, his face flushed and panting, watched the boy stand up. He picked up the porcelain bowl with one hand and stirred the chicken soup with the top of the ladle in the other.

The forearms are long and slender with well-proportioned muscles, making them pleasing to the eye.

On the table was a plate of braised pork, a plate of green vegetables, two plates of vegetables she didn't recognize, and a large pot of chicken soup.

The chicken soup was steaming, with a layer of butter floating on top. It contained chicken, red dates, goji berries, and some other ingredients she didn't recognize.

The setting sun streamed through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows into the spacious hall, scattering like golden arrows and making the food on the long table dazzlingly bright.

She blinked at the table full of food and suddenly felt a pang of panic.

She's not stupid; she can naturally sense that the boy likes her.

It's unbelievable, but it's true.

Although she didn't know what the boy liked about her, would he let her go in two months?

Wait, what is she panicking about?

Xia Yan went to university in another city. After the semester started, even if he liked to keep in touch with her, it would eventually fade away over time, and they would become like strangers.

Thinking of this, I breathed a sigh of relief; she was a staunch advocate of marrying someone of equal social standing.

Although she enjoyed the ambiguous pleasure brought to her by the noble and handsome young man, she did not want to take responsibility for him, nor did she want him to take responsibility for her.

She just wanted to keep the 200,000 yuan and slowly return to her peaceful life.

Xia Yan couldn't help but chuckle as he watched the girl, who was frowning deeply and looking distressed, then relaxed and breathed a sigh of relief.

She seems to really enjoy immersing herself in her own world, somewhat like Song Yun.

...I wonder if Song Yun has found the girl he fell in love with at first sight?

Having tasted the sweetness of love, he always hoped that Song Yun could have a good outcome like him.

"Here, have some chicken soup."

The soup spoon was brought to her lips, and Jiang You subconsciously took a sip before realizing what was happening and quickly took the bowl back, saying, "I'll drink it myself."

Xia Yan chuckled lightly, said nothing, and slowly picked up her chopsticks to serve her some food.

Unaccustomed to others flattering her, Jiang You felt like she was sitting on pins and needles throughout the meal.

After finishing her meal and cleaning up the dishes, she wanted to go home.

"Back to the dorm?" Xia Yan leaned against the wall, smiling at her face. "I have plenty of rooms here, or..."

"No," the girl firmly refused.

Knowing that the pace was too fast, the boy didn't say much, picked up the car keys beside him, and said, "Come on, I'll take you back to your dorm."

“No need, I can go back to my dorm,” Jiang You said, thinking of his dilapidated dorm and the fact that his school wasn’t a 211 or 985 university.

She initially thought it was nothing, but faced with the dazzling, noble, and handsome young man, she felt a strange sense of pride, which was actually a feeling of inferiority, and didn't want him to know about her school and dormitory.

Xia Yan frowned slightly, her gaze falling on his dark eyes: "Why?"

"I want to go home by myself, so you don't need to bother."

He stared at her in silence for a long while before finally curling his lips into a smile: "How could giving you a ride be a hassle?"

Ignore the previous sentence, grab the girl's wrist and enter the elevator, then release her and unlock the second basement level button.

The elevator was incredibly spacious and brightly lit, and it was rapidly descending towards the second basement level.

Jiang You pursed his lips, lowered his head, and reached out to press the button for the first floor.

There was a moment of stillness in the elevator, a quiet that made one's heart pound.

With a ding, we arrived at the first floor.

Jiang You hurriedly stepped out of the elevator. Xia Yan, who hadn't said a word, sneered, grabbed her wrist, pulled her, and pressed her against the corner of the elevator.

He pressed his knee against her inner thigh, forcing her to lift her head and accept his deep kiss.

With a ding, we arrived at the second basement level.

Xia Yan pulled the girl, who was breathing unsteadily, out of the room. Staring at her face, he suppressed his urge to rape her and said fiercely:

"Give me a reason. Don't tell me you want to go back to the dorm alone. Do you think I'm an idiot?"

The boy's suppressed anger echoed through the empty parking lot. He was so furious that he forgot all pretense and swore out loud.

He knows exactly whether he wants to go back to his dorm alone or doesn't want him to take him.

No wonder Xia Yan was angry. He had been taking care of the girl all day, not even letting her walk, but when she came home at night, she turned her back on him. This was just too much.

"I..." Jiang You stammered, his fingers twisting together, unable to utter a second word for a long time.

Xia Yan couldn't bear to see her looking so wronged. If someone had played this game with him before, he would have locked her in a shipping container and thrown her into the sea, letting her drift across the Atlantic Ocean to play.

He stared at her for a moment, held back, and finally sighed, admitting he had fallen for her.

He rested his hands on his knees, level with her height.

A gentle voice, slightly hoarse, came from her throat and reached her ear:

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be mean to you. It's just that you're going back to the dorm alone at night, what if someone follows you? What if you encounter any danger? What if... I can't bear that one in ten thousand possibility, Jiang You."

Jiang You was stunned. He subconsciously raised his head and met her shimmering amber eyes. They were so close that he could see her reflection floating in them.

What an exceptional man!

Before she knew it, he had already shoved her into the car.

As the car drove out of the garage, Jiang You couldn't figure out how Xia Yan knew about her school.

The boy's words kept echoing in my ears.

— Don't be afraid, I'll protect you.

— I can't bear that one in ten thousand chance, Jiangyou.

This is completely different from the love her parents gave her.

Parents' love is always just talk; they tell us to eat well, to eat more fruit and drink more milk, but they never give us any money.

They said if she was bullied at school, she should tell them, but if she actually did, they told her to stay away and tell the teacher.

They say... they say... but Xia Yan is different; he always does what he says.

Jiang You stared blankly out the car window. The neon lights and LED screens on the towering skyscrapers were like a flowing scroll that quickly unfolded and then rapidly receded.

As the car moved quickly forward, the tall buildings gradually became shorter, and the originally dense cluster of buildings began to thin out, replaced by some low-rise buildings.

She forcefully suppressed her pounding heart. So what if she was satisfied with the boy?

The gap between them was as wide as the Milky Way, and all she wanted was a peaceful and stable life.

People should have self-awareness.

The car quickly arrived at the entrance of Tengchong Normal University.

It was almost 8 p.m., and the college students, who had slept all day in their dormitories, were preparing to leave the campus to find food.

University students, whether on their way to or returning from night shifts, were drawn to the Koenigsegg at the school gate, with some instinctively taking out their phones to take photos and videos.

The car's lines flowed naturally like clouds and water, and the streetlights shone on it, making it look like twinkling stars in the night sky, dazzling and mesmerizing.

Even girls who don't know much about cars know that cars of this shape are very expensive.

It caused quite a stir at the school gate.

"Damn it, you unfilial son, pinch your dad! Am I hallucinating? Why is there a Koenigsegg in front of me?"

"The real car is even more stunning than the one in the video."

"Is this car really that amazing?" a girl asked her best friend.

"Yes, it's called Koenigsegg, and the price starts at one hundred million."

"Wow, a girl actually knows about cars? Let me test you, this car's chassis..."

"Screw you, test me, test me, test me! I don't even need to open my eyes to know what gender you are, you pig. Get lost and don't come near me."
