Chapter 254 False Light

The members of the Advanced Alliance led the way. Because they were all crawling, their progress was very slow. Chen Zhou had the Nine Linked Rings on his legs, so he didn't need to crawl. Chen Zhou followed closely behind the group and kept moving forward.

When they first entered this teleportation channel, there were quite a few of them, but now Chen Zhou, who was at the back of the group, realized that there were actually not many people left.

These are probably the only people left in the Advanced Alliance.

It seems that after entering the eighth level, Chen Zhou will need to find a way to recruit more people in order to make the Advanced Alliance even better.

That's what Chen Zhou was thinking, and he couldn't help but look forward to what would happen on the eighth floor.

The difference between the tenth and ninth floors isn't actually that significant; both are enclosed spaces. The only difference is that the environment on the ninth floor is far superior to that on the tenth. The tenth floor is like a hodgepodge, while the ninth floor feels more structured and organized.

What does the eighth floor look like?

Chen Zhou had already formed a fixed concept about this burning site. In fact, no matter how the floors changed, they were essentially the same. That is to say, the eighth floor was also a closed space, just like the ninth and tenth floors, with enclosed walls and land.

The rest depends on how the people on the eighth floor construct it.

As Chen Zhou thought this, they were already getting close to the light of the teleportation channel.

They still couldn't see the way ahead with this light, because the light seemed to be getting weaker and weaker. Chen Zhou was now at the back of the group and couldn't even see the path of the teleportation channel ahead.

Therefore, Chen Zhou was simply following the people of the Advanced Alliance.

"Leader, shall we just walk out?" At this moment, one of the advanced alliance members suddenly turned around and asked.

Since they were leading the way, the leader would decide which way to leave, so naturally, Chen Zhou was asked.

Chen Zhou nodded. There was only one road ahead, and they had no other choice.

The group continued forward. As the group moved forward, Chen Zhou glanced back at the middle-aged merchant on his back. The merchant was still unconscious, but his breathing was much more stable, indicating that he had recovered considerably.

Chen Zhou wasn't too worried about the middle-aged merchant's injuries; what he was worried about was what kind of trouble this teleportation portal might cause again.

The middle-aged vendor is now unconscious; we can't afford any more trouble.

Even if something unexpected happens again, Chen Zhou is the only one who can truly rely on the Alliance right now.

If he were to encounter a situation like the one before, Chen Zhou wasn't sure if he could handle it. To be honest, if he were to encounter those situations again, Chen Zhou could manage on his own, but to truly help all the members of the Advancement Alliance get through, it would depend entirely on the middle-aged merchant. Without the middle-aged merchant, Chen Zhou really wasn't confident he could lead so many people through the teleportation tunnel.

These are all thanks to the middle-aged vendors.

Although Chen Zhou did contribute, his efforts were far less than those of the middle-aged merchant. On several occasions, the middle-aged merchant handled everything alone, with Chen Zhou merely assisting him.

"It seems we're about to pass through this teleportation portal..." Chen Zhou said slowly.

Because Chen Zhou now saw that his advanced alliance members had reached the light, which illuminated all the members of the advanced alliance, at this moment, the advanced alliance members in front of him suddenly stopped and paused in front of the light. Chen Zhou immediately cast a curious glance at them.

"Why aren't you moving forward?" Chen Zhou immediately asked. The people from the Advanced Alliance who were crawling on the ground in front of him all stood up and looked at the light ahead.

Chen Zhou also looked curious and confused. Why had the people from the Advanced Alliance stopped? Why weren't they moving forward?

Curious as he was, Chen Zhou immediately went up to them, while also waiting for the answer from the person from the Advanced Alliance.

"This light is an illusion; there's no way forward. There's no passage." A member of the Advanced Alliance standing beside the source of the light spoke to Chen Zhou. Chen Zhou was taken aback, his brow furrowing. What was going on?

Chen Zhou quickly walked to the side of the people from the Advanced Alliance. He went straight up to the light, looked at it, and looked puzzled.

What's going on?

The light that appeared before everyone was actually a radiant pearl hanging on the wall of the illusory teleportation tunnel. Because Chen Zhou and the others were quite far away, neither they noticed that the light that had appeared not far from them was not a tunnel, but a luminous pearl!

There is no road ahead.

The road is blocked.

Chen Zhou and the middle-aged merchant could not get through.

The fact that they couldn't get through meant that Chen Zhou and his group had no other way out.

They've traversed the entire teleportation tunnel, and there haven't been any forks in the road—it's just a straight path. Why is there a wall blocking their way now? It seems this teleportation tunnel doesn't even have a path at all!

Then why do the people on the ninth floor say that to enter the eighth floor, one must go through this teleportation channel?

But this teleportation tunnel is clearly blocked!

Were they tricked by the people on the ninth floor?

The thought slowly crept into Chen Zhou's mind: the most likely explanation was that they had been tricked by the people on the ninth floor, and that this teleportation channel was actually a trap to enter the eighth floor! It was all a hoax.
