Chapter 49 They Came to the Door
He gave Tang Wan'er a cold look, without explaining anything. He just couldn't understand what was going on in the minds of kids these days.
Fu Yanzun had no choice but to stand up and walk to the door to open it. The moment he opened the door, he was surprised to find that it was his mother standing outside.
Just thinking about Tang Wan'er still in his house, and how his mother might misunderstand her if she saw her, gives him a headache.
"Mom? What brings you here? What time is it? Don't you sleep at night?"
Fu's mother glared at him. "I just wanted to come and see for myself whether you were secretly dating someone behind my back and wouldn't tell me."
Then, Fu's mother looked into the house with the eyes of someone who had caught her husband cheating.
She could vaguely smell the aroma of barbecue.
She knew her son well; he had never eaten junk food since he was a child. The sudden smell of barbecue in the house meant that there must be someone else in the house.
She immediately pushed Fu Yanzun aside and went inside.
Fu Yanzun wanted to speak, but it was too late.
Mrs. Fu walked in, wearing high heels, and immediately saw the woman sitting in the living room.
A young girl on the hall floor.
Surprisingly, there really was a girl in this house, but...
Madam Fu looked Tang Wan'er up and down, examining her attire.
Wearing a black leather vest with black denim shorts, her hair styled in dreadlocks and tied in a high ponytail at the back, and with heavy Western-style makeup, she looked very wild.
Upon seeing Tang Wan'er, she didn't know whether she should be happy or unhappy.
No wonder his son has never wanted to find a girlfriend; it turns out he likes this type.
How could a girl dressed like that be presentable in high society?
If people found out that their daughter-in-law dressed like this, they would be laughed at to death.
But now I understand why her son has always refused to publicly acknowledge his girlfriend; it turns out it was for this reason.
But thinking about it, all those rumors outside say that Fu Yanzun is gay or that he is impotent.
Rather than accept these rumors, she would rather accept a girl who dresses somewhat unconventionally, at least whose sexual orientation is normal, and who wouldn't affect their family's...
The continuation of the family line.
After some internal struggle, Fu's mother finally decided to accept her future daughter-in-law.
"Young lady, what's your name?"
Hearing the sound, Tang Wan'er looked up at Fu's mother.
Although they are nearly 50 years old, their parents are well-maintained and have few wrinkles on their faces, looking at most in their 30s. They look more like Fu Yanzun's older sister.
For a moment, Tang Wan'er was a little bewildered. Looking at the woman in front of her with such a refined air, she didn't know what to call her.
"You are..."
Although Tang Wan'er is usually arrogant and gives the impression of being very impolite, she is, after all, a young lady raised in a wealthy family. She just doesn't want to be the kind of well-behaved girl, but that doesn't mean she doesn't know the rules.
Fu's mother introduced herself, "I am Fu Yanzun's mother."
Tang Wan'er was a little incredulous, "You're Uncle's mother? I thought you were his sister..."
Being complimented on her youth made Fu's mother quite happy. "You have such a sweet tongue, child. I'm almost 50 years old, how could I be his sister?"
