Chapter 38 Why are you bullying her?
Pei Jiuyan remained silent, refusing to speak no matter how Zhou Xiao questioned him.
That's what "default" means!
Zhou Xiao was furious. Her eyes were red as she said, "Zhao Zhao loves you so much, how could you bear to bully her like this!"
Pei Jiuyan finally reacted upon hearing this. He moved his lips, seemingly unable to believe it, and looked at Zhou Xiao, asking, "Does she love me?"
But she was clearly just playing around; he heard it with his own ears when he went to pick her up.
Zhou Xiao was furious. She shoved Pei Jiuyan: "Otherwise what? If it weren't for her loving you, why would she choose you over so many others? What does she want from you? Your troublesome mother, or your ambiguous god-sister? Who knows if she's a god-sister or a god-sister-but-not-quite? What else about you is worth looking at besides your face?"
“We’ve never been willing to let her suffer, but you’ve made her suffer so much. Not only you, but your mother too. That green tea bitch Wenshu is no good either.”
"When she's being bullied, you always take the other person's side."
"I don't."
He loves Yun Zhaozhao so much, how could he stand by and watch her be bullied?
Zhou Xiao was furious. She said coldly, "Then do you know why she doesn't go to the Pei family?"

Pei Jiuyan said subconsciously.

Zhou Xiao's words completely stunned Pei Jiuyan; he had never known any of this before.
After a long pause, he finally managed to squeeze out a sentence, his face pale: "She never said that."
"She didn't say anything, so you can't tell? Are you blind? Can't you tell she's unhappy?"
"Why did she start liking to drink and go out partying? Don't you even know?"
Zhou Xiao shouted, "If Yun Zhaozhao hadn't been suffering so much, why would she drink so often?"
Everyone else knew, but the person next to her in bed didn't.
Pei Jiuyan's eyes were red, and he couldn't say a word. He really didn't know any of this.
Yun Zhaozhao suddenly developed a liking for drinking and going out, but he just assumed she was bored and couldn't stay at home. He had argued with her about it many times.

However, he forgot that if Yun Zhaozhao was really just willful and capricious, why would he like her?

Zhou Xiao wouldn't pity him, because Yun Zhaozhao was more pitiful.
Just then, the emergency room doors opened, and Zhou Yueming stepped out first. Seeing his sister, he frowned and said, "Alright, I could hear you from inside. Don't you know hospitals are supposed to be quiet?"
"Brother, can we train later? How's Zhaozhao?"
Zhou Xiao asked anxiously, and Pei Jiuyan also looked at Zhou Yueming.
