"Red Scales?"
Leading the group was a robust crab spirit. This was the first time Su Yuan had ever seen an orc from the ocean, aside from the ugly sea monster king he had once encountered.
Its appearance was very similar to the shrimp soldiers and crab generals that Su Yuan had seen in Journey to the West and Nezha when he was a child.
Or perhaps they are the real sirens, with their broad bodies and large pincers. If it weren't for their humanoid structure and ability to speak clearly, they would be truly sirens.

The diverse forms of the beast girls make this world seem fantastical, yet the desolate and cramped environment also makes it feel very real.
"Xiao Mo, how many of our clansmen are still here?"
Behind them, Hai Ling swam in with Hai Yao and Xiao Mo. Little Water Mother said slowly, looking somewhat dejected.
"Most of them are still there, but my sister and some others were discovered by those monsters when they went out to hunt for food, and then they were captured and taken to the bottom of the trench."
