After swimming for a while, suddenly, Honglin stopped, and the fear in her eyes made Su Yuan look in that direction.
Humans, no, they should be called mermaids, and many mermaids or magical beasts were wandering around in one area. They looked dazed and their bodies were covered with wounds of all sizes.
"Where is the sea monster?"
After scanning the area, Su Yuan suddenly noticed something amiss. Hong Lin had previously mentioned that all intelligent races near the Liuguang Sea had been devoured.
But there wasn't a single siren among this group of hundreds. Surely these people couldn't possibly be carrying out their mission in an orderly manner?
“I don’t know what’s going on either. Everyone used to be the same, but recently the number of sirens has become extremely small.”
Honglin was unaware of this either, but simply told Su Yuan about what had recently happened in the sanctuary.
"Recently, there has been a rumor that the sea monster god is actually sealed beneath the trench. Because the other sea monsters in the ocean have been bullied by the God-given race, the sea monster god was sent to thoroughly cleanse the Dream Coral Sea."
"They even said that if we leave this place and join the Siren God's embrace, everyone will gain great strength and no longer have to worry about food and shelter."
The god of siren?
Su Yuan was somewhat speechless. First there was a guy who called himself the King of the Sea Demons, and now there's a God of the Sea Demons. These guys have even more tricks up their sleeves than the orcs.
"But to put it bluntly, it all boils down to the feeling that Mother, as a divinely gifted member of her race, is biased towards her own people when it comes to management—a bunch of insatiable fellows!"
Redscale looked on with hatred. In the current situation, why would they still engage in such internal strife? Did they think that the rate at which the races of the Dream Coral Sea were being wiped out was not fast enough?
Without disturbing them, the group quietly left under the cover of the fish and continued their journey towards where Honglin and the others were hiding.
Along the way, we encountered quite a few strangely behaving mermaids or monsters, and we also saw some sea monsters, but they were all hurriedly swimming in one direction.
Finally, after traveling an unknown distance, Honglin finally stopped.
"We're safe here. Our hiding place is just ahead."
The fish were dispersed by Su Yuan, revealing the outside environment.
This place is much harsher than the previous one. The fine white sand and pebbles on the seabed have disappeared, replaced by a black expanse, resembling lumps of mud or rocks.
There were no plants or animals around, and everything seemed very quiet, even more so than the seabed in the snowfield.
"Where am I... near an underwater volcano?"
Su Yuan was so frightened that he broke out in a cold sweat. If this were near a volcano, an underwater volcanic eruption would probably burn him to death or scald him to death.
"Volcano? That's a good description. Don't worry, it only erupted once many years ago, and it won't spew out any more lava now."
"You don't understand. Even a dormant volcano can become active again. If it really erupts, you won't be able to escape even if you try!"
Honglin shrugged helplessly at this.
"What can we do? Mother doesn't want to leave. But once she dies or turns into one of those monsters, everyone will probably scatter and flee from here."
"It's right here, you guys go first..."
Honglin led the group to a ravine below, but before they could swim in, a group of figures rushed out.
Their appearance, resembling shrimp soldiers and crab generals, prompted Xin Ke and her companions to immediately draw their weapons.
Different races in the snowfields don't get along well; when they meet, they either fight or run away, making it difficult to sit down and communicate calmly.
"Black Claws! What are you doing?!"
