Chapter Sixty-Six: The Gossipy Sweeping Aunt

To Xu Moran's surprise, both cups were filled with water, and toothpaste had already been squeezed onto the toothbrush placed on top of them.

The cups and toothbrushes come in two sets, one pink and one blue.

Xu Moran hesitated for a moment, then considered the genders of the two people in the room, before picking up the pink toothbrush and pink cup.

She had just finished brushing her teeth and was washing her face when she heard Xu Ye calling her to eat breakfast.

With a punctual human alarm clock and ready-made breakfast, Xu Moran felt it was still worthwhile compared to the money already spent.

"I'll be right there," Xu Moran replied, hung up the wash towel, and walked out of the bathroom.

Breakfast was already laid out on the dining table in the living room. It smelled delicious and tempting. As Xu Moran walked toward the table, for some reason, she turned around and looked at the bathroom behind her.

She really regretted it. What was wrong with her? Why did she have to look back?

If she hadn't turned around, she wouldn't have seen that Xu Ye actually picked up the pink toothbrush, squeezed the toothbrush again, and started brushing his teeth.

That...that's something she just swiped...

Moreover, the blue toothbrush still had toothpaste on it, but the pink one was gone. It was obvious that she had used the pink one. Why did he use the pink one without even thinking?

As if she had done something wrong, Xu Moran quickly looked away, not daring to look at the bathroom again.

Xu Ye likes pink. She knew this and remembered it. From now on, anything pink in the house belongs to him.

When Xu Moran turned his head, as if possessed, he put his hand to his mouth and breathed on it to smell it.

She tried to smell her breath to see if she had any odor, but thankfully, she couldn't smell anything.

Since there's no odor in her breath, there certainly won't be any on her toothbrush, right?

Xu Moran sat down at the table, trying to comfort himself. Thinking of Xiao Mei, he looked down at the table and said, "Xiao Mei, what's wrong with you? You're such a coward, you're even afraid of a little teddy bear. How are you going to find a girlfriend and have puppies?"

No matter what Xu Moran said, Xiao Mei had only one attitude: as long as the teddy bear was at home, it would resolutely refuse to come out from under the dining table.

Xu Moran didn't know what was wrong with him, but he probably felt that Xiao Mei, being a male dog, shouldn't grow so big for nothing, and shouldn't be all looks and no substance.

I called Xiaomei a few more times, but she still wouldn't come out, so I simply crawled under the dining table to pull her out.

Xiao Mei suddenly became very awkward. When she saw Xu Moran reach out to pull her, she even shrank back a little. Xu Moran deliberately put on a stern face, "Xiao Mei, if you don't come out from under the table, I'm really going to get angry!"

Xiao Mei seemed hesitant. It was clear that on the one hand, she was genuinely afraid of making Xu Moran angry; on the other hand, she really refused to come out from under the dining table.

Xu Moran threatened it, "Xiao Mei, are you really not coming out?"

Xiao Mei's dog eyes darted around, quickly glancing at Xu Moran, then quickly glancing back again. Finally, her dog heart made up its mind, and she slowly crawled out from under the dining table.

Xu Moran thought Xiao Mei was frightened by the middle-aged woman who was making a fuss at the door early in the morning. He was about to pet her head and comfort her, but before he could even touch Xiao Mei's head, he was startled.

A shadow darted towards Xiao Mei's tail with lightning speed...

Then, right in front of Xu Moran, the two dogs put on a chase.

Xiao Mei was quite frightened. She ran around twice, but the room was too small for her to take advantage of her size. So, she changed her target, ran to Xu Moran's side, jumped up, and hugged Xu Moran with her two front paws, pretending to want her to hug her.

Xu Moran gently patted Xiao Mei's head and laughed, "Xiao Mei, you're a man, and you're so much taller than him, how can you be so afraid of a little kid?"

Xiao Mei naturally wouldn't tell her the reason; it just meant one thing: no matter what Xu Moran said, she wanted her to hug her.

Xu Moran was a little helpless. Just as he was about to pick up Xiao Mei, Xu Ye came over after washing up.

He didn't have Xu Moran's patience with Xiao Mei at all. He raised his hand and smacked Xiao Mei on the forehead. "Look at you, you coward. Teddy just thought you walked fast and wanted to hitch a ride. Look at you, so stingy."

After hearing Xu Ye's explanation, Xu Moran finally understood why Xiao Mei was afraid of Teddy.

"Ride-sharing" is just a nice way of putting it by Xu Ye; it actually refers to the position of dogs having that kind of relationship.

She leaned her head to the side and looked toward Xiao Mei's tail. For a moment, she was speechless. The little teddy bear, which had been timid around the middle-aged woman, was now standing on its hind legs, trying to jump down toward Xiao Mei's tail.

Xu Moran knew exactly what was below Xiao Mei's tail.

This teddy bear has such a strong taste!

Can't it smell that Xiaomei is a male dog like it?

Xu Moran looked at Xiao Mei with sympathy, but then suddenly thought that for a girl as big as Xiao Mei to be so afraid of a teddy bear, it was clear that the little teddy bear must have hitched a ride with her more than once in the past, causing her a great deal of psychological trauma.

Gently stroking Xiaomei's head, he said softly, "Xiaomei, it seems you've been hitchhiked more than once or twice. Don't worry, from now on, we'll avoid Teddy when we see him."

Xiao Mei must have understood what Xu Moran said. She affectionately rubbed her mouth against the back of Xu Moran's hand a few times. Then, as if she had thought of something, she suddenly became anxious and made a whimpering sound.

Although Xu Moran had only raised Xiao Mei for a short time, he already knew her very well and understood why she was whimpering. He immediately corrected himself, saying, "I'm sorry, Xiao Mei, I misspoke. From now on, we'll avoid male Teddy dogs, but we'll never let a female Teddy dog go. Who knows, maybe she can become our girlfriend?"
