Chapter Sixty-Six: The Gossipy Sweeping Aunt

"You want evidence, right?" The middle-aged woman was also prepared. Upon hearing Xu Moran's words, she actually took out a piece of paper from her pocket, unfolded it with one hand, and placed it in front of Xu Moran, saying in an unfriendly tone, "Open your eyes wide and take a good look. This is the evidence!"

Xu Moran stared at the paper for a long time, then shifted his gaze to the middle-aged woman's face and asked her earnestly, "What is this?"

The middle-aged woman rolled her eyes at Xu Moran with disdain. "Ignorance is truly terrifying. You're so young, yet you don't even recognize an ultrasound report."

Criticized for being uncultured, Xu Moran humbly touched his nose and asked, "Whose ultrasound report?"

The middle-aged woman tugged on the rope again, making the little Teddy bear, which was constantly shrinking back, move forward a bit. After she snatched the little Teddy bear to her feet, she glanced down at it and said arrogantly to Xu Moran, "Of course it's our Niu Niu's. Didn't you just ask me for proof? This ultrasound report is the proof! Proof that she got pregnant after being raped by your dog!"

Xu Mo tried to hold back, but couldn't help it and burst out laughing.

Her smile displeased the middle-aged woman, who glared at Xu Moran with the furious expression typical of someone mocked by him, demanding, "What are you laughing at?!"

If it weren't for the handsome guy next to her, she would have already started swearing.

Xu Moran ignored her, but squatted down to look at the teddy bear she had brought. Then, when she stood up, he laughed even harder.

Afraid that she would laugh so hard she couldn't stand, Xu Ye offered her his shoulder to lean on.

Xu Moran didn't stand on ceremony or act coy. She leaned her head on Xu Ye's shoulder and laughed heartily. It had been so long since she had laughed like that.

Even if you laugh until you're almost out of breath, you only feel "great"!

She was satisfied, but the middle-aged woman standing at the door was so amused by her laughter that her face turned black, almost indistinguishable from the bottom of a pot. To exaggerate a bit, if you took a knife and scraped it, you could probably scrape off a layer of black ash.

Finally, the middle-aged woman stood with her hands on her hips and roared, "Have you laughed enough?!"

Xu Moran pursed her lips, barely managing to suppress her laughter. She looked at the little teddy bear at the middle-aged woman's feet and said, "Sister, although I really want to admit that the puppy in Niu Niu's belly is our Xiao Mei's, Niu Niu is a boy, so there's no way she could get pregnant. Besides, you think too highly of my Xiao Mei. He doesn't have the superpower of becoming a father overnight."

The middle-aged woman was taken aback at first, then squatted down and picked up the dog. She wanted to turn the dog over to check its gender, but unfortunately, no matter how small the Teddy was, once it became uncooperative, there was nothing she could do with it.

Since there was no way to turn it upside down to look at its belly, the middle-aged woman could only lift it high and look up at it herself.

Upon closer inspection, the middle-aged woman's face displayed a variety of colors, shifting from black to white, and then to red. She had been careless; she was only thinking about using the dog to get close to the handsome man and then marry her daughter to him, completely forgetting to check whether the dog she had just stolen on the street was male or female.

After the middle-aged woman's little trick was exposed, she became furious and embarrassed. She stomped her foot, abandoned the dog, threw the leash on the ground, and ran downstairs.

As she walked, she continued to hurl insults under her breath. Of course, she wasn't cursing Xiao Anhe, but Xu Moran, who had exposed her scheme and caused her to lose a handsome son-in-law.

Just then, Xu Moran saw clearly that the leash that the middle-aged woman had thrown on the ground was gently hooked by a foot, and then, the next second, he heard a thud, the sound of someone rolling down the stairs.

Although Xu Moran found the middle-aged woman annoying, especially her dog-stealing behavior, she still felt that Xu Ye shouldn't have deliberately tripped her with the rope.

If someone were to fall and get seriously injured, that would be a real problem.

She always remembered that she was a police officer, and that she could not harm the people, but could only protect and safeguard them.

"You," Xu Moran said, feigning a scolding to Xu Ye, "Don't do that again. If you really hurt someone, it won't be fun."

"Ranran." Xu Ye looked at Xu Moran and asked his question, "Don't you think it's unsafe for me to be home alone?"

The wealthy middle-aged woman I met yesterday evening, plus the middle-aged woman who came to my door just now, were both there because they were targeting Xu Ye.

Xu Ye's face is indeed attractive not only to women, but also to women who are about to become mothers-in-law.

Xu Moran looked at him and smiled, "Don't worry, B City has always had excellent public security. You are very safe at home. Just remember not to open the door to strangers in the future."

The little teddy bear that the middle-aged woman had thrown down was trembling violently, clearly terrified. It had a bell around its neck, was very clean, and its fur was well-groomed, so it was obvious that it had an owner.

When Xu Moran went over to hug it, it seemed to know that Xu Moran would not hurt it, and obediently let him hug it.

After bringing the little Teddy into the house, Xu Moran called Xiaomei over. In her opinion, dogs should all like playing with other dogs, even if there is a big difference in size.

Theoretically, it should be the poodle that's afraid of the golden retriever, since the golden retriever is much bigger. So how come in Xiaomei's case, it's the poodle that's afraid of a poodle?

Xiao Mei wasn't pretending to be scared; she was genuinely terrified. It was such a big thing, and it kept hiding under the dining table, refusing to come out no matter how much Xu Moran called to it.

That's really strange.

However, after confirming that Xiaomei wouldn't bully the little teddy bear, Xu Moran put the little teddy bear down with peace of mind and went to the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth.

When she finished using the toilet and went to brush her teeth, she discovered that her original toothbrush cup and toothbrush were gone. In their place were two identical toothbrush cups, just different colors, and even the toothbrushes were the same style, just different colors.
