Chapter 133 is like a tango

Perhaps there are many more things we've smashed, such as sturdy walls, stray giant rats, or other monsters...

Those who are so tightly bound to each other have neither the will nor the energy to pay attention to these things.

My strength was long gone, and I was just holding my breath and forcing myself to stay afloat. The magic within me became exceptionally active, replacing the power of my muscles to move my body, as if I were moving a designated stream of magic by my own will. Ignoring the pain and cries of my muscles and nerves, I reached the exact location with precision and ruthlessness amidst the overheated coldness of my brain.

Of course, I did try to implant a trace of magic into his body, gather it into a small-powered condensed fireball, and then detonate it. But whenever I tried to do that, the sword demon would be very alert and retreat a few steps, thwarting my plans.

It was as if his intuition was silently telling him that danger was approaching.

Then, in the brief moment when the sword demon finally began to pant and its muscles trembled for the first time, I relied on my senses to seize this rare opportunity.

I mixed the remaining majority of my magic power with the still-splurred free magic power and swiftly pushed it into the rapidly spinning magic circle beneath my feet. Even though this caused my head to overheat and I felt slightly dizzy, before those panicked black pupils filled with blooming pale gold, I still recited the words that surfaced from the depths of my mind at my fastest speed:

A chain of lightning pierces the heavens, secured by wedges to stabilize the order of the world!

I could see the air ripple like water. Following the sword demon's astonished gaze, I looked up and saw a large expanse of gray sky exposed by the shattered rooftop. In the sky, where dark clouds seemed to gather, ominous golden dragons began to flash, then fell rapidly at a speed that was difficult for the naked eye to follow, transforming into slender chains wrapped in dazzling lightning.

The tips of those chains are all sharp, spindle-shaped, just as I declared, connecting the sky and the earth from top to bottom.

The sword demon, recovering from his shock, seemed poised to strike me while I was still recovering from the effects of my spell. But the golden chains descending from the sky were far faster than his movements, forcing him to dodge left and right, constantly reducing his hiding places.

Because those chains are wrapped with intense lightning, they are something that even I, who cast this spell, want to avoid contact with. Just a slight touch will paralyze you for a considerable period of time, not to mention the other chains that follow, which will not give you any chance to catch your breath and fight back.

From a distance, it seems like a divine punishment descended by a god in the heavens, enraged by the sins committed by man, full of elements such as magnificence, grandeur, and violence.

Then, it finally caught its prey.

"He's gone mad..."

If I heard correctly, before being pierced by several chains, like a patient being forcibly awakened from a deep sleep, the sword demon's eyes widened, as if he was shouting something, but the latter part was completely drowned out by the series of violent reverberations.

In the end, I was the first to step on his foot.
