"Mind your own business! You're so long-winded."
Anne continued muttering, "I'll take over the watch tonight! I didn't do much work during the day, and I have some things I need to think about carefully!"
"Really?" I asked uncertainly.
"Okay, so go to sleep now!"
"I don't believe you unless you let me test it."
"What kind of experiment?"
Feeling the pushing force behind me weaken, I turned around and opened my fist, which I had been clenching for a long time, in front of the girl: "Sleep Spell".
"Well……"
After the sparkling glitter effect, her dark red eyes showed only a moment of surprise before she flipped upwards decisively, her body going limp and collapsing, where I caught her just in time.
The gray wolf that followed lowered its body, and a warning growl immediately came from its throat.
"Don't do that." I gently stroked the gray wolf's neck fur, but the alert wolf dodged away. "Your master is already very tired today, let her get a good night's sleep."
After twitching its ears, the gray wolf observed us for a while and then strolled over, curling up next to the girl in the side where the wind was blowing, looking like a warm, breathing dark gray wolf fur blanket.
Returning from her patrol, Miyuki jumped down from the tree and glanced unsurprisedly at the three people who had settled down to sleep: "And then?"
"Why don't you go to sleep too?" I joked.
To everyone's surprise, Miyuki actually nodded and agreed: "Okay, I'm going to sleep now. Tonight is all yours."
Honestly, her direct agreement rendered all the excuses I had prepared for dealing with the back-and-forth useless.
I awkwardly scratched the back of my head, watching her casually pick up a few larger fallen leaves and spread them under her. A few breaths later, she quickly drifted off to sleep, emitting soft snores.
The night was quiet.
Even the animal companions who had followed them all the way had quietly settled down to rest.
After confirming that there were no other awake creatures around, I could finally shift all my attention to what I was going to do tonight.
