Chapter 200 Extra Chapter: Hikari's Morning

The snow scattered on the ground was mostly ankle-deep, and as she pushed it, it piled up in front of her, eventually reaching almost half a person's height. Even so, a small amount remained in the puddles, evaporating and rising with her dripping hot sweat, releasing a cool breeze.

No wonder her feet felt cold and the ground was soft when she went out in the morning, making it difficult to walk. It turned out that it was because of the layer of snow that was neither too thin nor too thick.

"Miss Miyuki—"

Hikari leaned closer to the window and whispered, "Do you need my help?"

The icy female swordswoman, with her excellent hearing, tilted her head slightly and shook it with a very small amplitude before returning to the next wave of light sweeping.

It might have been an illusion, but Hikari vaguely felt that a thin, pale white layer of light seemed to be enveloping Shenxue's body, but it quickly disappeared without a trace.

She blinked, checked again, and then walked back into the corridor.

Passing by my own little house, I walked a bit inside and gently knocked on the nearest door. There was no response; the house was quiet. Only when I pressed my ear against the wall could I hear faint breathing sounds coming from inside.

"Mr. Yumi, I'm coming in?"

Although it was mentioned that I could be specially allowed to enter the young man's house when necessary to take care of his daily life, that condition was, after all, exchanged for the cost of lodging in the miniature garden, and I don't know if it would apply the same way here.

However, even so, after much hesitation, the girl finally listened to the increasingly itchy thought in her heart and gently pushed open the door.

She looked at the scene before her with some surprise.

Not in bed, but on a rather uncomfortable-looking recliner, the young man, holding a black cat and with a hunting dog lying at his feet, slept peacefully, a hint of fatigue showing in his slightly furrowed brows.

Subconsciously, Hikari tiptoed closer, lowered her head slightly, and quietly raised her hand, wanting to touch the young man's face and dispel the slight knot of resentment.

"What exactly did you dream about?"

She murmured softly, and the black cat nestled in her arms raised its colorful head and meowed.

The hunting dog, which was quietly curled up beside her, also quietly turned its head to look at her.

"Okay, I understand."

Hikari glanced at the ring that hovered above the young man's hands, emitting a faint white light, then simply ruffled her black hair and used the nearby stall to cover the young man's head.

"It's not good to catch a cold."

As she muttered to herself, thinking of loosening the fully drawn curtains a little, she suddenly heard a slight noise behind her.

Somewhat surprised, Hikari turned her head and, seeing her eyelashes trembling slightly, took a small step back in astonishment.

"Ah, Mr. Yumi, are you awake? Did I disturb you?"
