Shaking his head, Sal, looking dejected, walked over and sat down a short distance away from me, pounding his calves. "It's a grove of bushes outside my back door. I was originally planning to take a shortcut to find the people who came with me... the ones who were with you before. I told them they could stay at my house temporarily, but I don't know if I took the wrong path, and somehow I ended up here."
Looking at the towering white wall, I was puzzled: "Even from a distance, this place should be quite conspicuous, right? How could I have missed it completely?"
