Chapter 66 Aisha's Painting

The artist's gaze shifted again: "Well... that... I'm here now, [the cat] is here too, [the sunflower] was transplanted to the back door of the library, and then..."

"Oh, you're so slow!"

The slovenly rabbit interrupted again, annoyed: "[The crow] is gone! -- Is that what this clumsy lady is trying to say?"

"Something that could be said in a single sentence is being turned into a long, drawn-out drama with a series of twists and turns."

...While I agree with the latter half of that scoundrel's statement, his attitude is just too much to bear. Miss [Aisha] is almost crying because of you! Is your role as a butler just to be sarcastic?

"If I'm not mistaken, those beings in the paintings actually have a connection with you, don't they?"

I shooed the rascal away and made sure its hopping figure disappeared from my sight. Then I turned to [Aisha] and asked again, "[Cat] came looking for me like this before..." Before I could finish speaking, I felt a furry touch next to my ear. It was the little guy I had mentioned, who propped his head up and looked around in confusion. "[Sunflower] also appeared at the back door like this."

"Shouldn't [the crow] be there by now? Is it just deliberately hiding so it hasn't been discovered?"

"I used to think so too, so I waited patiently for a long time."

The artist pursed her lips: "However, more than half a month has passed, and I still haven't seen him. I can't help but worry."

“I also tried asking the little dog that was playing nearby a few days ago, and I also tried asking the [cat] to help me look for it, but to no avail. If that painting is accidentally damaged outside, even if I don’t care much at first, I will still feel regret, because there will be one less relic left in this world by my predecessor.”

Sending a dog to search for birds is somewhat like a dog catching mice, but since it's a hunting dog, it can also sniff out the scent of what it's looking for, which is surprisingly fitting. As for whether the [cat] still has the ability to find things, I still have considerable doubts, but considering that it and the [crow] are both objects in the painting, it's possible that there is a connection between them.

"You could try painting something new to make up for it," I comforted her, but seeing her shake her head, I had to change my approach. "Perhaps it's still near the [gallery]? Should we go look around that little hill again?"

The artist seemed about to nod, but then paused, as if remembering something, and sighed softly, "No, let's wait a little longer."

"Maybe one day I'll want to go back to the nest."

She turned her head and looked towards the nearby window.

As dusk settled, the deep blue of the distant sky had already covered most of the heavens, as if the shimmering water rising from the abyss was casting a heavy veil over everything in the miniature garden, gradually merging it with itself.
