Food Bombing
Over the next few days, Lu Zhian personally experienced what Xiao Jin meant by "chasing," and how terrifying this man's drive was.
His life began to be surrounded by all kinds of food.
Early in the morning, before you're fully awake, there are already delivery guys waiting downstairs at the dormitory, handing you a steaming hot breakfast from a long-established restaurant with long queues, delivered precisely to your door.
Around noon, an exquisitely packaged lunchbox will inexplicably appear on the office desk, containing a well-balanced lunch that looks and smells delicious. It's clearly from a high-end restaurant or private chef, attracting the attention of colleagues.
After get off work in the evening, he would either be blocked at the company entrance by Xiao Jin's conspicuous sports car, or he would receive a sumptuous dinner delivery that needed to be signed for as soon as he got back to school.
At first, Lu Zhian was able to grit his teeth and refuse, or make excuses to avoid it.
"I've eaten, I really have eaten."
"Thank you, but it's too much trouble, no need to send it anymore."
"I made plans with my classmate tonight..."
But all his refusals were like paper walls in front of Xiao Jin.
When messaging didn't work, Xiao Jin made a phone call directly, saying succinctly, "Come down."
If you make an excuse that you've already eaten, Xiao Jin will raise an eyebrow and ask, "Which restaurant? Is it better than the one I brought?"
He tried to avoid the man, but the man always managed to catch him at every exit, his eyes filled with an unquestionable intent, and he would simply shove him into the car and drive him away.
Later, Xiao Jin didn't even bother to find a reason. He simply stepped forward and blocked Lu Zhian's way out of the company building after work, wrapping his arm around Lu Zhian's shoulder naturally yet forcefully, and half-forcefully leading him into the car.
Lu Zhian's stomach had been treated to unprecedented luxury these past few days, tasting all sorts of delicacies he had only ever seen pictures of online before. Everything Xiao Jin sent was so delicious that he wished he could swallow his tongue whole.
Besides food, there are occasionally other "surprises".
Sometimes it's a beautifully packaged lollipop that I casually slip to him, and sometimes it's a box of delicious chocolates.
Until one day, Xiao Jin leaned against his sports car, waiting for him to slowly walk over. Instead of opening the car door directly as usual, he took out a small bouquet of flowers from behind his back.
Instead of gaudy roses, there are a few freely unfurling tulips, paired with fresh greenery, simply wrapped in kraft paper, exuding a wild yet sophisticated aesthetic.
"Take it." Xiao Jin stuffed the flowers into his arms, his movements still carrying a domineering air that left no room for refusal, but his eyes softened slightly the moment the flower touched him and he paused for a moment.
Lu Zhian, holding the bouquet of flowers, got into the car. The faint fragrance of the flowers and the slight scent of cologne emanating from the man beside him filled his nostrils, and his feelings were extremely complicated.
He seemed to be swept away by a raging storm called Xiao Jin, without any explanation. What was terrifying was that, after the initial panic and resistance, his taste buds and his heart seemed to gradually become accustomed to this forceful and omnipresent "pursuit".
