I'm going to start pursuing you.

I'm going to start pursuing you.

The sports car eventually stopped in front of a high-end restaurant with a stylish interior and an understated yet luxurious facade; it was definitely not a wet market.

Looking at the restaurant in front of him, which clearly required reservations months in advance, Lu Zhian looked at Xiao Jin in confusion: "...Aren't we going to buy groceries?"

Xiao Jin locked the car, then casually placed his hand on Lu Zhian's lower back and led him inside, explaining in a calm tone, "We won't be eating at home tonight. After we've chosen the ingredients, we'll have them delivered fresh to the restaurant tomorrow."

Lu Zhian was speechless once again, and could only sigh in his heart for the second time: This is the world of the rich.

The waiter respectfully led them to a quiet window seat. After they were seated, Xiao Jin said, "The food here is pretty good, would you like to try it?"

Lu Zhian glanced at the bright daylight outside the window, then looked at his wrist: "Hmm? It's not lunchtime yet, is it?"

“We don’t make reservations in advance,” Xiao Jin said, taking a sip of his water. “They need some time to prepare the food.”

“…Alright then.” Lu Zhian compromised, not caring about the time it took to finish this meal.

Xiao Jin seemed to know the place well, casually naming a few dishes. The waiter noted them down and then quietly withdrew.

While waiting, the sunlight streamed through the window, and soothing music filled the restaurant, creating a tranquil atmosphere.

Xiao Jin's gaze fell on Lu Zhian's still somewhat uneasy face. He brought up the old topic again, his tone blunt and unavoidable: "Are you really not going to talk to me?"

He leaned forward slightly, his gray-blue eyes filled with stubbornness. "What exactly do you see in my brother?" He paused, then added a highly damaging reason, as if it were proof of some fait accompli: "We're already sleeping in the same bed."

Lu Zhian's ears burned at the mention of "sleeping in the same bed," and he almost instinctively retorted, but his voice lacked confidence: "You...you shouldn't talk nonsense!"

Xiao Jin didn't care about his denial. His blue-gray pupils stared at him intently, as if locking onto prey, persistently pressing for the core question: "What is it about my brother that makes you so... devoted?" He deliberately slowed down the last four words.

Lu Zhian pursed his lips, lowered his eyes to stare at the pristine white napkin in front of him, and refused to answer. How could he possibly share those chaotic entanglements, which even he himself couldn't untangle, with another person?

His silence made the air almost freeze. Xiao Jin stared at him for a long time, then leaned back in his chair, no longer pressing for answers, but instead uttered a clearer declaration, breaking the silence: "Lu Zhian, try it with me."

These words were too direct. Lu Zhian looked up abruptly, meeting those incredibly earnest eyes, and his heart skipped a beat. He wanted to refuse, but the words stuck in his throat, and he couldn't utter a single word as they met.

The two fell into a subtle and tense silence until the waiter brought out the appetizer, which just broke the silent standoff.

"Let's eat." Xiao Jin picked up the utensils first, as if his shocking words from just now were just casual conversation.

He wasn't wrong; the food at this restaurant was indeed excellent, each dish exquisite and delicious. Lu Zhian regretted his overindulgence while marveling at how delicious it was.

After a quick main course, Xiao Jin put down his knife and fork and casually suggested, "Their desserts are very famous, would you like to try them?"

Lu Zhian had no resistance to sweets and nodded subconsciously.

The waiter promptly presented the exquisite dessert menu. Lu Zhian took it, his gaze sweeping over the tempting names before settling on the small line of prices below.

He silently closed the menu: "Hmm...maybe I'll pass. I don't really feel like eating it." His confidence was clearly lacking.

Xiao Jin glanced at him, then reached for the menu, quickly scanned it, told the waiter the name of a cake, and then looked at Lu Zhian: "Try it. If you don't like it, we'll talk about it."

The cake was served quickly, beautifully presented and with an enticing aroma. Under Xiao Jin's watchful gaze, Lu Zhian scooped out a small spoonful and put it in his mouth. The silky cream and rich chocolate created a multi-layered flavor that exploded on his taste buds instantly. It was indeed... impeccably delicious.

After the meal, the two walked out of the restaurant. A cool night breeze helped Lu Zhian snap out of his shock at the delicious food and exorbitant prices. The restaurant was indeed excellent in every way, but unfortunately, it was too expensive.

"Is it good?" Xiao Jin asked as he walked beside him.

Lu Zhian blurted out, "So expensive."

Xiao Jin seemed to find his answer amusing, chuckled, and asked again, "Is it delicious?"

Lu Zhian nodded honestly: "Delicious."

"As long as it tastes good." Xiao Jin's tone was matter-of-fact, but then his tone suddenly changed, becoming aggressive, "Isn't my brother feeding you? You're starving."

How did we end up back here again! Lu Zhian was about to speak when Xiao Jin stopped, turned to face him, and his expression was more formal than ever before. His grey-blue eyes appeared exceptionally deep under the streetlights in the night.

"Lu Zhian, I'm going to start pursuing you now."

Lu Zhian's breath hitched. The words of refusal swirled on his tongue, but the thought of the exorbitantly priced meal and the expensive cake weighed heavily on him, like a mountain pressing down on him, making it impossible for him to utter a single "no." "He who accepts a gift is bound to be obligated; he who eats a meal is bound to be obligated"—the ancients were truly right…

Seeing that he remained silent and did not immediately object vehemently, Xiao Jin seized the opportunity, took out his phone, quickly pulled up a QR code, and handed it to him:

"Could you please provide your contact information?"
