Chapter 227 I Forgive You

Li Xiaoru didn't want to listen to Jiang Shuya anymore, so she quickly made an excuse, grabbed her clothes, and went into the store to work.

For a moment, Jiang Shuya was at a loss. Perhaps she didn't know enough about her cousin. Thinking that her younger sister Shuting was more familiar with her, she went to the office on the fifth floor of the mall and saw Chen Lin and the others still explaining their quantum computing.

She waited outside for a long time before they finally came out.

The three of them went to a seafood buffet. As soon as they sat down, Jiang Shuya couldn't wait to ask about the results.

Chen Lin looked troubled. "Manager Wen has no aversion to quantum computing; she's quite satisfied. However, she has made one condition: she invites me to join the quantum computing technology team as well."

Jiang Shuya instantly understood that Chen Lin was a top talent in big data computing and a high-level executive that major internet companies were vying to recruit.

In his previous life, Chen Lin's salary ten years later was already the highest among all technology companies. It would be impossible for him not to be ambitious. At Yi Yun, in order to keep him, they even gave him shares to appease his resentment.

Clearly, Wen Qing knew of Chen Lin's existence. Her younger sister was not good at socializing and lacked finesse and tact in her work. Chen Lin, on the other hand, was meticulous and thoughtful, demanding perfection in everything he did. He was even more rigorous and thorough in his dealings with himself. In his previous life, Chen Lin was highly valued by Boss Yi Yun and thrived at work, demonstrating exceptional business acumen. Such a high-tech talent was seen by others as a good leader, a good husband, a good father, and a good son.

Now that the problems are on the table, Chen Lin regrets his decision to replace Jiang Shuting in introducing quantum computing today. He has really shot himself in the foot.

Jiang Shuya ate the vegetable salad in her bowl and said:

"How much is Wen Qing willing to invest?"

"5 million." Jiang Shuting looked gloomy as she ate the shrimp that Chen Lin had peeled for her.

Jiang Shuya was astonished and almost cried out. She couldn't help but sigh, "Chen Lin's involvement is truly remarkable! He's actually investing so much; it seems he has high hopes for Chen Lin."

"Then you should really think this through. This is a tech company he founded single-handedly."

Jiang Shuting rolled her eyes at Chen Lin; "Hmph, it's not that easy. They demanded that Chen Lin bring out Yi Yun's team and have partners join before they'd invest 5 million. When Chen Lin heard that demand, his face turned green."

The two continued their back-and-forth debate about starting a tech company, until Jiang Shuya finally suggested, "Why don't you agree to Wen Qing's suggestion? I believe gold shines wherever it is. It's not that you, Chen Lin, can't live without Yi Yun; it's that Yi Yun can't live without you."

This suggestion drew enthusiastic praise from her younger sister, who picked up a glass of red wine and declared domineeringly, "It's settled then. You quit your job and start a company with me. Even if we fail, the world is vast, and the world of technology and information is boundless. It's an area we both need to explore. Let's do our best!"

Seeing her sister's impassioned speech, Jiang Shuya subconsciously looked at Chen Lin, only to find him calm and composed, unlike his earlier outburst. What she had witnessed today was entirely expected.

Thinking of Li Xiaoru, Jiang Shuya couldn't help but ask her younger sister about her.

Jiang Shuting seemed a beat slow, narrowing her eyes and pondering for a few seconds:

"Sister, let me give you some advice: stay away from that person. She has no morals. I remember when I was little, I had a piggy bank full of coins that I earned from selling medicinal herbs. But she stole them all."

Later I found the piggy bank in her room, but it was empty; she'd taken all the money out. She also frequently goes to the convenience store on credit and doesn't pay. Let me tell you, she's incredibly sweet-talking and knows how to flatter people, making you feel happy and letting you down. You have to be very careful.

Jiang Shuting ate the vegetable salad in her bowl and continued:

"She takes advantage of her grandmother's favoritism and often steals her money to buy things, then falsely accuses me of taking it. She's truly despicable; she has absolutely no moral compass."

Jiang Shuting clearly remembers these childhood memories. She grew up with her grandmother from a young age and was the same age as Li Xiaoru. She had a better understanding of Li Xiaoru's character. Later, when she went to junior high school and lived in a boarding school, they never had any contact again.

Jiang Shuya didn't know what kind of conflict had occurred between them, but she had never heard her sister mention this person before, which clearly indicated that their relationship was bad.

After the three of them finished eating, they came out of Lida Shopping Mall. Jiang Shuya saw that it was still early, so she took the clothes she bought for Tangtang and went to Xixia Village.

Sun Qi and Zhang Xiaohui have been busy packing and shipping grapes at home these past few days. Chen Lin's company gave them an order for 375 boxes of grapes, and there are also orders from Software Avenue and Hexi office buildings, which together amount to more than a thousand boxes. They've really been keeping them very busy.

So these past few days, Jiang Shuya has been handling all the big and small matters in both stores, working from morning till night. Fortunately, there are enough staff in the stores, so they haven't encountered a situation where they can't keep up with the workload.

Entering the Huang family courtyard, Jiang Shuhuai, who had been busy with his graduation thesis and rarely returned, stood at the door of Li Xiaoru's room and saw clothes piled up everywhere on her bed. Jiang Shuya frowned and went to Li Yuxiang's room to hang the clothes she had bought for Tangtang in the closet.

She went up to the stairwell, changed her shoes, and went upstairs. She saw that Huang Minghao's room door was half-open. She didn't disturb him. She had heard from Sun Qi that he now drove a taxi for a rental company, often driving at night and sleeping at home during the day.

Upon entering the bedroom, she glanced around and saw that the room was still tidy and spotless. Noticing that there were very few skincare products left on the table, she frowned slightly. She opened the wardrobe, and the clothes inside looked like they had been turned over and were in a mess.

"You're back!"

Huang Minghao stood at the door with a smile on his handsome face.

"Yes, I came back to check on Tangtang. I looked around downstairs, but she and your mom aren't home. Where did they go?"

Huang Minghao's eyes were lowered, and his voice was hoarse:

"We've sold all the grapes at home, and my mom took her to my grandma's. Do you want to go see her? I'll drive you."

Jiang Shuya shook her head, took out a few clothes from the wardrobe, packed them up and took them to the store to change into.

Seeing that she was ignoring him, Huang Minghao walked behind her, hugged her tightly around her waist:

"Xiaoya, don't go. I like you. Stay with me tonight."

Jiang Shuya was taken aback and protested Huang Minghao's actions: "Don't do this. In your eyes, I'm an unclean woman. Get away from me."

Huang Minghao held her waist tightly, burying his face in her neck:

"I know you're not that kind of person. You're doing this on purpose to upset me. That man forced you, didn't he? It's okay, I don't care. As long as you're willing to come back to me, I forgive you."
