Tanaka slammed his fist on the table in anger and stood up: "You killed twenty-six of my men this time, Robert. You should thank me for my magnanimity for still being alive and sitting in front of me!"
"If you hadn't used bombs, our people wouldn't have retaliated. Seven of my men died. This is the result of your impulsive actions!" Zhuang Yihao retorted calmly.
"You're talking nonsense! My men didn't bring any bombs out at all. It was your men who threw the bombs and killed my men!" Tanaka pointed at Zhuang Yihao, his face trembling with anger.
Zhuang Yihao paused upon hearing this: "Are you sure? My men didn't take any bombs out either. I'm pretty sure the bomb wasn't dropped by my men."
Tanaka stared at Zhuang Yihao for a while, and felt that he didn't seem to be lying. "So what's the situation now?" Tanaka sat back down and couldn't help but ask.
Zhuang Yihao already had doubts: "Then we should ask the only living person."
Tanaka looked at Zhuang Yihao: "You mean Li Ke? What did you find out? Why are you so interested in this girl? Did you find out that she was involved in the theft of the reserve funds?"
Zhuang Yihao lowered his eyes and remained silent. Tanaka sneered, "You can choose not to tell me, then don't hinder my investigation."
“She’s a member of the enforcement team, and someone that both of the team’s captains value highly. If you arrest her, it will cause us trouble sooner or later,” Zhuang Yihao continued to deal with Tian Zhong.
"It doesn't matter. If I can't make it here, I'll just find another place. Anyway, I'd rather kill the innocent than let the guilty go free." Tanaka looked at Zhuang Yihao and revealed a cunning smile.
He had already determined that Li Ke was problematic. If he hadn't wanted to find out the whereabouts of the reserve funds as soon as possible, and if Li Ke hadn't been somewhat powerful and insisted on seeing Zhuang Yihao, he wouldn't have been here exchanging barbs with Zhuang Yihao.
Zhuang Yihao remained calm at this moment: "If that's the case, why did you agree to meet with me in the first place? It couldn't be just to have a fight with me."
Tanaka remained silent for a moment. He had always felt that the Chinese were very cunning, and this characteristic was perfectly embodied in Zhuang Yihao.
“You really want to see Li Ke, don’t you? I can let you see her, but only if you tell me what you’ve found out. I already know that Li Ke is a key figure, and she’s in my hands now. If you want more useful information, you’ll have to make a deal.” Tanaka stated the demands he had prepared beforehand.
Zhuang Yihao sighed and said, "I'm in the same boat as you. I just felt that Li Ke might have some issues and was planning to investigate her when you thwarted my plan. If Li Ke really does have issues, arresting her wouldn't be a loss. But if she doesn't, then we've just unwittingly attracted the attention of the law enforcement team, and it won't be as easy to take action in the future."
Tanaka couldn't tell whether Zhuang Yihao was telling the truth or not, so he couldn't help but ask, "Are you serious? You're so worried about this woman, isn't it because you've found out something?"
Zhuang Yihao's expression also turned serious, and he solemnly emphasized, "The law enforcement team has already moved into the Qin family's residence. They might take action and control the Qin family at any time. Do you think I have the time to chat with you at this point?"
Tanaka fell silent upon hearing this, and Zhuang Yihao took the initiative: "What did you learn from Li Ke? Any progress? I feel that this woman is not simple. Tanaka was somewhat unwilling to be led by the nose, so he began to make demands on Zhuang Yihao. Zhuang Yihao, however, could see that Tanaka lacked confidence. He smiled leisurely and said, "In the current situation, neither of us is better than the other. I have what you have, and what you want is what I want. This woman may indeed have problems, but there's no need for me to make any sacrifices for her. I won't pay for something uncertain in advance. I'm only here to remind you to think things through in the future, and to stay out of trouble for now. You can't go back to the Qin family for the time being."
After saying this, Zhuang Yihao stood up from his seat, making a gesture as if he intended to leave with his men.
Tanaka felt extremely frustrated, but remembering Li Ke's request, he had no choice but to ask her to stay: "Wait, Li Ke does know the whereabouts of the reserve funds, and I have already persuaded her to cooperate with us. But she doesn't quite trust me, a foreigner, and she wants someone from your company to come with me to see her and discuss cooperation further."
Upon hearing this, Zhuang Yihao let out a "ha," seemingly amused by Tanaka's foolish behavior, and then couldn't help but chuckle twice more.
Even if Tanaka were stupid, he could sense the sarcasm and ridicule in Zhuang Yihao's reactions. Enraged, he demanded, "What are you laughing at? What's so funny!"
Zhuang Yihao snorted: "I laugh at your stupidity. This woman is already in your hands, you have the initiative, and you can still let her make demands and be helpless. Tanaka, you really disappoint me."
Tanaka defended himself: "This woman is very difficult to deal with; dealing with her is not as easy as you think!"
Zhuang Yihao responded to Tanaka with a snort, and Tanaka glared back angrily: "If you don't want to, you can leave. I can handle it myself."
Zhuang Yihao certainly wasn't going to leave: "I'm already here, so I'm not going to watch you do something stupid. Where is she now?"
