Qin Mingyue went outside to meet Zhuang Weifeng wearing a protective suit and carrying an oxygen tank. Ever since she learned about the disgusting things this man was doing, Qin Mingyue really felt that his presence in her room would pollute the air there.
Zhuang Weifeng looked at Qin Mingyue, who was wrapped up tightly, and sneered inwardly. This kind of woman who had to live in a greenhouse, if it weren't for the fact that he still wanted her, she was destined to find no other man to take her.
Perhaps because her previous positive impression of Zhuang Weifeng had been completely shattered, Qin Mingyue could tell from Zhuang Weifeng's eyes alone how much filth was in his head.
She now has to admit that she was blind before; how could she have thought this thing was good-looking? And so gentle?
Zhuang Weifeng spoke up: "What are you thinking about? You used to talk the most when you saw me, why don't you say anything now?"
Qin Mingyue saw the sarcasm on Zhuang Weifeng's face, and her expression darkened slightly: "You were young and didn't know any better before, but now you know how to judge people. You know who you can talk to more and who is worth a few words."
Zhuang Weifeng didn't want to beat around the bush with Qin Mingyue, so he went straight to the point: "I just asked Grandpa Qin when we're going to get married, and guess what he said?"
Qin Mingyue was furious when she heard Zhuang Weifeng's shameless words: "Stop talking nonsense! My grandfather would never agree to me marrying a piece of trash like you, you stud! Aren't you in a hurry to have a son? I, Qin Mingyue, am not good enough for you. You should find someone else."
Seeing Qin Mingyue's chest heaving with anger, Zhuang Weifeng felt a sense of satisfaction: "I was so eager to have a son because I was thinking about your health. You can't have children anyway, so my child is your child too. Didn't you always follow me around calling me 'brother' before? You always said you wanted to marry me and wouldn't let other girls be with me. Now that I've done what you wanted, shouldn't you be happy?"
Qin Mingyue pointed at Zhuang Weifeng: "You are truly shameless!"
Zhuang Weifeng chuckled twice: "I can't compare to your snobbish pragmatism. As soon as you found out that our Zhuang family had fallen, you changed your tune."
"You're talking nonsense! Get out! You ruined my parents and now you want to seize my family's property. You shameless bastards will get your comeuppance sooner or later." Qin Mingyue was really angry at Zhuang Weifeng. This man was becoming more and more shameless.
Zhuang Weifeng replied even more leisurely, "If we really leave, your grandfather will probably be worried to death. After all, the kind of life your parents lead depends on how well we do things."
Qin Mingyue had already realized that Zhuang Weifeng had deliberately come to disgust her. She called a caregiver to help her back, not wanting to be emotionally affected by this mess and make herself feel unwell.
Zhuang Weifeng said to Qin Mingyue's retreating figure, "When my uncle comes back, let him discuss our marriage with Grandpa Qin. After all, my children need a legitimate mother."
Qin Mingyue froze for a moment, then, with the help of the caregiver, she started walking again. Without giving Zhuang Weifeng any response, she went straight back to her room.
Zhuang Weifeng went to the window and saw the security personnel downstairs frowning. The wind and snow were howling outside, and he felt a little uneasy, afraid that something might have happened to his uncle.
The snowstorm lasted for seven days, and most of the work at the shelters, except for some indoor operations, was suspended.
In just seven days, many more children, the elderly, and patients with weak constitutions succumbed to their injuries and passed away.
In a one-bedroom apartment, Xiangxiang had developed a high fever again, and He Ru was also feeling unwell. Wang Zhuo said he would go downstairs to get medicine, but almost two hours had passed and he still hadn't returned.
Five days ago, the law enforcement team delivered 1,000 work points and told them that Li Meng was missing. He Ru immediately fell ill. She realized that she had ruined Mengmeng by persuading her daughter to take that job.
He Ru lay on the bed holding Xiangxiang, missing her missing daughter and regretting that she shouldn't have stopped her from getting a divorce.
Wang Zhuo was indeed unreliable. She had noticed this before, but she always thought that all men were like that. Anyway, they were all small things, and she and Mengmeng could share the burden. As long as the family was intact, that was fine. Who didn't get through life like this?
But now, not only does Wang Zhuo not care about his own affairs, but she is holding his only son in his arms, and he can pretend to care while ignoring everything. He Ru is truly heartbroken.
As the wind and snow subsided in the evening, the temperature dropped to minus sixty-five degrees Celsius. Li Ke told Li Meng to put on more clothes in preparation for leaving.
"You can pack up anything here that you think is useful and take it with you," Li Ke said to Li Meng.
Li Meng hesitated for a moment: "Is it convenient to take it with me?"
Li Ke: "Anything under 200 pounds can be taken away. You have 30 minutes to pack it up."
Upon hearing this, Li Meng stopped being polite and began searching the house. She collected two large bags of clothes, quilts, blankets, various daily necessities, uneaten food, firewood, and coal.
When Li Ke returned, Li Meng asked somewhat embarrassedly, "Isn't this too much stuff?"
Li Ke directly told her to move the things to the airplane in the backyard. Li Meng didn't expect there to be an airplane to ride in, but she knew that this man didn't like her asking questions, so she immediately obeyed and started moving the things.
Li Meng thought to herself that this man was a good person; although he was a bit cold, he must have a very soft heart.
After all the belongings were moved and sorted out, Li Meng saw that there was still some space left on the plane, so she mustered up her courage and asked, "Can we take that generator with us? It can be exchanged for two or three hundred work points in the shelter."
Li Ke did not refuse and together with Li Meng, they lifted the generator onto the cart and transported it to the plane. If Li Ke's physical condition had not improved and his strength had not increased, it would have been difficult to move the generator.
