Chapter 234 Misunderstanding

Upon hearing the order, these people quickly sprang into action. Mo Zuo, however, stood at the alley entrance, continuing to observe. One of the people beside him said, "There's been no movement from Fu Hua's side. It seems they don't know the identity of the newcomers, otherwise they wouldn't be so quiet."

Seeing that his men had mostly withdrawn, Mo Zuo said to his deputy, "You lead your team away too. I'll stay here to clean up the mess. Hurry up."

The man didn't say much, just waved to someone behind him. Soon, someone came over with a backpack, and his deputy handed it to Mo Zuo: "Captain, these are your supplies. We'll mark them, and if all goes well, we'll meet up outside the city in a week."

Li Ke saw even more from above. Two vehicles appeared in the distance, and the lead vehicle, traveling side by side, even had two cannons mounted on it. This group of people didn't seem to have any good intentions!

She crouched down, intending to retreat. Although the excitement was interesting, it depended on the situation. In such a chaotic situation, she was likely to get caught in the crossfire. She thought it would be better to stay far away.

Just as Li Ke moved to the back and was about to roll down, she heard a low, threatening shout: "Don't move!"

Turning my head, I saw that in just a few seconds, the captain of the Mo family had also climbed onto the roof of the opposite building, and the two of them were now less than ten meters apart.

Li Ke has good hearing, but she didn't hear anything when this person climbed up, which shows that the other person is very skilled.

Mo Zuo also half-squatted, pointing his gun at Li Ke, and asked in a low voice, "Who are you people? What is your purpose in coming here?"

"Huh?" Li Ke was puzzled for a moment, but quickly realized what was going on. She hurriedly explained, "It's a misunderstanding. I don't know those people. I'm just a passerby."

Mo Zuo's gaze swept from Li Ke's helmet to her binoculars, then to the machine gun slung over his back: "Do you think I'll believe you?"

Li Ke coldly said to him, "Use your brain. I've been up here for half a day. If I were in cahoots with those people, or if I had ill intentions, I would have already intercepted you while you were down there. Would I have watched you arrange for someone to send that young master Mo away and then order all your men to disperse?"

Mo Zuo still held his gun: "Do you know the way around here? I can't let you go until you're cleared of suspicion."

Li Ke sat down on the ground: "Fine, whatever. Anyway, those people are already here. I can watch the show for a while longer."

Mo Zuo naturally heard the commotion below; the other car was parked on the main road in front of him.

He turned his gaze. There weren't too many vehicles, but there were still quite a few—thirteen in total. However, six of them had cannons protruding from their barrels.

Even at night, Mo Zuo could tell that these vehicles were well-modified bulletproof cars. He narrowed his eyes and quietly moved away, ready to run away at any time.
