Li Ke's pupils only trembled slightly before she forcibly regained her composure. However, her teammate next to her couldn't bear it for a moment, closed her eyes, and looked very pale and unwell.
The robber said with some disappointment, "You don't seem like a woman anymore, but I still think you're very interesting. Your group's performance is much better than the others."
Li Ke ignored the man. There were quite a few wooden stakes, and even more human heads hanging on them, many of them dried up, while some still showed recognizable facial features.
None of the thirty of them wanted to see this scene, but it was laid bare at the entrance to the island, leaving them no way to avoid it except by closing their eyes.
After calming themselves down, they opened their eyes and searched among the heads, hoping to find the person they were looking for.
The fishing boat passed through the woods of stakes and headed further in. Li Ke saw that there seemed to be something else underwater, but the boat was moving very fast, and everything in front of them was a bit suffocating and difficult to examine closely. They soon reached the actual shore.
The island was also a village. Perhaps influenced by what she had seen upon entering the island, everyone Li Ke saw now seemed extremely dark and bloody, and her mindset was still affected.
The people on the island were all armed, and their companions came to greet the robbers. They spoke their own language, which Li Ke couldn't understand. She felt a little tired and dizzy, and the hellish scene at the entrance kept replaying in her mind.
In her previous life, Li Ke had witnessed many cruel and bloody scenes, and she thought she would not be affected again. Now it seems that she overestimated herself.
She took out a glucose bottle from her storage space, concealed it, and drank it down. She couldn't afford to mess things up at a time like this.
After the group finished speaking, they were led further inside, into a large courtyard consisting of several buildings, where the thirty people were taken into a large communal shower room.
Several people were running water through hoses, while others, looking on with interest, ordered them, "Take off all your clothes. We're going to wash you clean and then inspect the goods."
After Li Ke saw the people whispering among themselves, most of their attention was focused on her; they were waiting for her to take off her clothes.
