Before Li Ke could make a move, the others stood in front of her without prior arrangement. Yan Bo spoke up to the robbers and said, "Prepare a private space for her to clean up. You don't want us to cause a scene, do you?"
A sneer came from the other side: "Make a scene, how do you want to make a scene?"
Before Li Ke's people could say anything more, the man called out twice towards the outside, sounding like two different names.
In just two or three seconds, two muscular men led the way, followed by five other men, each holding a black whip with small barbs.
The robber spoke again: "Right now, take off all your clothes, or I'll have you beaten until you're naked!"
Yan Bo and the others knew they couldn't reason with the people on the other side, so they stopped talking and simply stood in front of Li Ke to show their stance.
The robber deliberately starved Li Ke and his men for a long time, convinced that they were no different from paper tigers. Seeing them being stubborn, he naturally wouldn't tolerate it.
The robber ordered, "Pull them apart, tear all their clothes, but don't hurt their faces. After you're done, rinse them thoroughly with water!"
As soon as the robber finished speaking, the group of burly men who had just entered stepped forward, cracking their whips. Along with their sinister smiles, they also sent swift, swift whip flashes across the room.
"Make way, I can handle this," Li Ke said to the two rows of people in front of her, who remained motionless.
Just as Li Ke was about to push them aside and walk out, the people in front of him moved. Fifteen people rushed forward in response to the whip, while another fourteen people filled in, completely blocking Li Ke's path.
By the time Li Ke came to her senses, two whips had already fallen into the hands of Yan Bo and his men. The robbers were both shocked and furious, and shouted, "Back up! Use the water guns on them!"
The robbers had prepared five water guns. Upon hearing the robbers' orders, Yan Bo and the others did not retreat but advanced, brandishing their whips to try and grab the water gun barrels.
The gang leader pulled out his gun and yelled, "Do you really want to die?"
Yan Bo and the others looked at the gun barrels and slowly retreated: "Prepare a shower curtain for our men so we can wash and change ourselves, or you can shoot us."
The leader was so angry that his face turned ashen. He had originally intended to tease the other party and show off his power, but in the end, he had completely lost face!
If he could have fired, he would have done so long ago. But since he boarded the ship and landed, these thirty good men have already been reported. If something goes wrong in his hands, he will have to pay a heavy price.
Seeing this stubborn group of people who wouldn't listen to reason, the little leader gritted his teeth and ordered his men, "Get them a shower curtain."
After giving instructions to his men, he then addressed Yan Bo and the others, saying, "Don't provoke me any further. I'm not without other ways to deal with you!"
Yan Bo and the other two split into three groups, standing with their backs to Li Ke against the wall, using the shower curtain they had just received to create a space for her.
Li Ke didn't stand on ceremony. She took off her coat, put on her undershirt, and started washing up. Then she quickly dried herself and changed into the thin cotton clothes the other party had given her.
After changing their clothes, the group was escorted into another room, entered an underground entrance, walked through a short section of a glass-like waterway, and continued downwards.
After walking for another ten minutes or so, the person leading the way finally stopped, and a large door opened, letting in a faint light.
The road ahead was cleared, and the robbers told them to go in. Li Ke was in the middle and followed the people in front of him inside.
As soon as they entered, the person in front paused for a moment, but continued forward after being shouted at by the robber.
Soon, Li Ke also saw the new environment they had entered. It was like a very dark underground water dungeon, with more than a hundred iron cages hanging from the top, each containing more or less people.
The water below occasionally rippled, as if something was lurking beneath. The space was only illuminated by a few oil lamps hanging on the walls, leaving many areas in darkness.
The thirty men were divided into six groups and locked in six cages. After hanging their cages up, the kidnappers said, "Aren't you all tough? Let's starve you for a few more days and see if you can still be tough then."
Those people left, closed the gate, and the water dungeon returned to calm, with only occasional coughs or groans coming from some of the cages.
After Yan Bo and the others' eyes adjusted to the light, they began to observe the details around them. Once they had looked around enough, one of them started to tap quietly and rhythmically near the cage.
Li Ke heard them knock seven times, twice in a row, and wondered if they were using a code to contact someone. Li Ke was only puzzled for a moment before continuing to examine the water dungeon.
This water prison is quite large, appearing to be nearly a thousand square meters. It has doors and exits in all four directions, and the top of the prison is seven or eight meters above the water surface, with crisscrossing ramps for moving the cages.
No electronic devices were found inside. Li Ke was considering whether to wait here for three days when he heard another knocking sound, five rhythmic knocks, which were repeated twice.
Li Ke looked in the direction of the sound and saw a number of cages in that area, quite far from them.
Then Li Ke saw Yan Bo knock on the cage three times, twice in a row. After a while, the cage responded from a distance, making a total of nine knocks without repetition.
Li Ke sat by the cage, looking at Yan Bo with a serious expression, waiting for the guy's next move.
Yan Bo met Li Ke's gaze, looked away for a moment, and then looked back: "We contacted a teammate, and his condition is not good."
Li Ke nodded and asked, "Only one teammate?"
