After listening for a while, and hearing only about preparing supplies and verifying routes, Li Ke realized that the two men were being cautious in their speech because of her presence. She sensed it, but she didn't consciously stay until the video call ended.
Yan Bo was going back to make preparations, and Li Ke told him to prepare more, as she would be taking twenty people with her and that supplies must be plentiful. Then she acted like a hands-off manager, intending to leave everything to herself.
Yan Bo was a little embarrassed. He and Li Ke had been through thick and thin together, so he was always frank about his difficulties: "I'm afraid my side alone is not enough. Your ship is almost ready to be taken down, so you should be able to free up some supplies. We don't need much, just enough for the twenty-one of you for three months. I'll take care of everything else."
Li Ke thought for a moment and said, "Then tell me the truth, what kind of person is this Commander Xia? Is he a troublemaker or not?"
Yan Bo immediately shook his head: "It's definitely not going to be a big deal. Commander Xia has always been decisive and efficient, and he's a very good person."
Li Ke looked at Yan Bo with disbelief and said, "You all look so upright, and you can even make your lies sound like the truth. I don't really believe you."
Yan Bo straightened his posture: "Everything I just said is true."
Li Ke pressed on, "Is Xiao Yi really missing?"
Yan Bo nodded: "It's true, there's no way to fake it."
Li Ke: "In your army, who is more capable, Commander Xia or Xiao Yi?"
Yan Bo said seriously, "It's not easy to compare them. Commander Xia has always served in the military and was promoted through his own efforts, so we know quite a bit about him. But Captain Xiao was parachuted in. We've heard he's very capable, but we've only heard rumors about him."
"Alright, go and get ready." Li Ke asked and then shooed him away.
Yan Bo then asked with concern, "There are only three days left. Do you still want to take over this ship? Do you need our help?"
Li Ke replied succinctly and decisively: "Yes, no."
