Chapter 332 Use it and throw it away

According to the information they obtained, there was a screening room on each of the seventh, eighth, and ninth floors. Whenever the free people found healthy children, women, or men among the laborers, they would send them to the screening room for a medical examination.

After passing the physical examination, they will be sent to the tenth floor to be kept clean and well-maintained for a period of time. Then, they will undergo another comprehensive physical examination. Only after passing all aspects will they be served on the dining table.

The giant ship has only been docked here for two months. Of the thirty people who were taken to the tenth floor, there are still twenty left.

Such things don't only happen on the tenth floor; they happen even more on the lower floors. It's just that these people aren't as particular as those on the tenth floor. They also get medical checkups, but they don't bother with maintaining a clean appearance; they just need to be clean.

Nowadays, meat is extremely scarce. There are many mutated fish in the sea, but most of them are inedible and very difficult to catch. Moreover, these fish have a strong sense of territory and are aggressive. If they spot a fishing boat, they will abandon their cannibalism and instead work together to attack the boat and the fishermen.

Fishermen put in a lot of effort, but most of the fish they catch are inedible. As a result, the effort and reward are not commensurate, so they look for other ways to get meat to eat.

Moreover, it's not uncommon for the weak to be served at the dinner table long ago.

Are those in power truly powerless to deal with these mutated fish? Of course they are, but in this day and age, who would waste their energy on such matters for those below? The only option is self-preservation.

Li Ke asked Niu Dazhuang to select fifty skilled and experienced sailors. This place is located by the sea and has been flooded many times since the disaster, but the indigenous people still survived. This was not only due to foreign aid, but also because they were born to make a living on the water. It was not difficult to find such people.

"Find those who are not afraid of death, and prepare enough supplies, weapons, and boats for fifty-one people. Consult with them about the selection process. We will be at sea for three to five months, heading to the deep sea area, which is very dangerous. If everyone is lucky enough to come back, I will pay each of them sixty years' worth of high-quality food and supplies."

Niu Dazhuang asked, puzzled, "Why fifty-one people? Shouldn't it be fifty-two?"

He knew that Li Ke always liked to make backup plans, so he didn't think much of the extra thirty people, but he quickly noticed that the total number was not right.

Li Ke glanced at him sideways: "Have some sense of propriety. If you're not going, you can wait here."

Niu Dazhuang retorted angrily, "No, I'm your translator, your right-hand man."

Li Ke: "I don't need you. Find someone among the people you're looking for who can speak Chinese. That shouldn't be too difficult. Listen to me, you stay here and wait for us to come back."

After saying that, Li Ke left without giving Niu Dazhuang a chance to speak again.

Niu Dazhuang watched Li Ke's retreating figure, annoyed for a moment. Then he turned around and hurriedly went to pick people and gather supplies. Honestly, he always uses them and then throws them away. Is he really that cheap? It's so annoying!

The next day, when Niu Dazhuang brought eighteen people to report to Li Ke, he still had a dark face. When Li Ke saw him like this, he wanted to laugh for some reason, but he was afraid of provoking him further, so he immediately held back.

After all, this thing is really useful, so I can't go too far with it.

Ben had been waiting at the tenth floor of the stairs for a while, and his expression relaxed a bit when he saw Li Ke and Niu Dazhuang among the group.

He had already inquired and found out that the leaders of the uprising below were mainly these two people.

The group, armed with weapons and with bombs gleaming around their waists, followed Ben up to the fourteenth floor, finally arriving at a corridor on the left.

"These two rows and the two rows opposite each other have a total of twenty-three suites. Behind them is another row of rooms, which are small storage rooms and kitchens. Next to them is an open-air swimming pool. Although you can't swim now, you can still sit there occasionally. All the places I just mentioned are arranged for you. You can use them as you please."

Li Ke had been listening to the commotion for a while when he spoke up: "Is there no one else on this floor? If it's just us, why not give us the whole floor?"

Ben frowned at Li Ke without saying a word, so Niu Dazhuang had no choice but to stand up and translate again before asking the question once more.

Ben then spoke up, "Our second boss and his family live on the other side. They're just not here right now, they'll be back tonight."

Li Ke looked at him without saying anything, then forced a smile and said, "It's still early, and I'm sure none of you have had breakfast yet. We've prepared a lot of food, so please come with me to the restaurant for a meal."

Niu Dazhuang asked Ben to lead the way. Li Ke gave Niu Dazhuang a look, and Niu Dazhuang accepted it expressionlessly.

After walking a few steps, Niu Dazhuang suddenly spoke up: "We want to see the best room here first."

Ben hesitated for a moment before replying, "Of course."

As soon as they entered the room, Niu Dazhuang pointed his pistol at Ben's head: "Cooperate, or I'll blow your head off."

Ben remained relatively calm: "Why did you do this? Wouldn't it be better for everyone to enjoy themselves together? Our men are guarding all the exits. If you hurt me, you'll die here too."

Niu Dazhuang punched him in the face: "If anyone's going to die, it'll be you first!"

Li Ke grabbed a tablecloth from the side and stuffed it into Ben's mouth to muffle his screams.

After binding the guy securely with whatever materials were available, Niu Dazhuang opened the door, greeted the two bodyguards standing with them, and while they were still confused, he called his men to swarm forward and subdue them.

Time was of the essence, so they bled Ben directly and found out what was going on upstairs. Li Ke then climbed up from the window, while Niu Dazhuang led his men to other rooms to find a way to climb up.
