Xia Ji whispered to his teammates to lie down and recover their energy. They should go out and scout the route first, and then try to sabotage the circuits and surveillance cameras. Before the three of them returned, if anyone else came, they could act independently as needed.
The three of them pushed the cart outside. There were four glass rooms in this space. Li Ke guided Xia Ji and the other person based on the sounds of their movement that she had heard earlier.
In the other glass rooms, conscious people watched them move around, lying in their places, obediently motionless and making no sound.
These were the same people who had just helped move Li Ke and the others; they were also prisoners waiting to be dealt with here.
The emergency exit didn't require access control; all it needed was a key, which made things convenient for the three of them. After exiting, Xia Ji pretended to lock the door while searching for blind spots in the surveillance cameras.
Li Ke already felt that the pace was a bit slow: "We should have discovered it long ago. We need to speed up. We can't stay in this place any longer."
Xia Jiwei nodded, chose a direction, and set off towards the monitoring room they had asked about.
Upon arriving at the monitoring room, the group looked through the glass window and saw a staff member asleep at the workbench. Xia Ji tried turning the doorknob and it opened.
After going inside and dealing with the people, Xia Ji started setting up surveillance, deleting and overwriting all the previous time periods, and then looping the playback. He then found two walkie-talkies inside, located several exits on the surveillance footage, and turned around to lead Li Ke and the others out.
Li Ke looked at everything that was still lit up: "Aren't you going to destroy the circuit?"
Xia Ji: "This is just the surveillance system on this floor, not the main control room. Destroying it won't do much good and might even trigger the alarm at the main control room. We'll take action after we get out."
Their weapons have all been confiscated; they need to find something useful to use.
This time the operation was much faster. Xia Ji divided the people into four groups, each sneaking out through one of the four exits. If they were discovered, they were to carry out a major operation and cause as much damage as possible.
The others in the glass room watched as this group ran out without making any move. Li Ke and the others took one last look at the group.
Although killing them might be safer, they wouldn't do such a thing, nor would they have the time.
Sure enough, just as they reached the exit stairs, the piercing alarm rang out, and the sound of footsteps rushing towards them came from both upstairs and downstairs.
