Their purpose was to collect blood. The group consisted of one man and two women, all wearing protective suits that only revealed their eyes, and they worked together.
A woman was putting wristbands on everyone's wrists, while a man and a woman stood in front of the cart, preparing for blood collection.
The woman labeled all the blood collection tubes with numbers and arranged them neatly, while the man held the lancets and tore open the packaging. There were already quite a few people gathered at the door. The beds were located inside the room, and their work began from the outermost part.
Li Ke kept her eyes half-closed, watching the cameras outside. They were static, and one of the cameras at an intersection was pointing directly at them.
She was quickly thinking of a solution. As the woman bent down slightly to fasten the wristband onto her wrist, she swiftly reached out and grabbed the woman's neck, pressing her against herself, while covering her mouth with her other hand.
The man and woman were facing away from them, drawing blood from the person on the ground. Faced with the choice between exposing herself and exposing the space, Li Ke could only choose to expose herself.
The woman had no idea someone was still awake, and was completely caught off guard when Li Ke strangled her unconscious without making a sound.
Li Ke used one hand to prop the woman's body up slightly, creating the illusion that she was still working, while his other hand reached for the zipper of the protective suit around her neck and unzipped her clothes.
The two people drawing blood at the entrance were moving rather slowly, and they seemed to have a close relationship, occasionally exchanging a few words, but rarely turning their heads to look at the other person working behind them.
Li Ke carefully and quickly pulled the woman next to him out of the protective suit and placed her on his bed. Then he quickly crawled back into the protective suit, zipped it up, and fastened the wristband that was originally going to be on his wrist onto the woman's wrist.
Hearing some noise, the two people at the door turned around and glanced over. Finding nothing wrong, they continued their work, one drawing blood and the other placing blood collection tubes, slowly and leisurely.
Li Ke put on his protective suit, walked around to the front of the camera, turned his back to the camera, bent down slightly, reached under the woman's body, and magically pulled out a yellow-skinned person wearing a black-haired human skin mask from between her body and the bed, and put it on the woman's head.
After finishing these tasks, Li Ke moved on to the next bed, pretending to put a wristband on the next patient. She was waiting for the next opportunity, and also waiting for the other person on the camera to sound an alarm. If the scene she had just witnessed was discovered by the person monitoring her, then she would have to go all out again.
After walking around for a while without any movement, Li Ke felt more at ease. She walked to the next bed, where Xia Yu was lying.
She pinched Xia Yu's philtrum hard, and the other person's eyelids twitched, but still did not open. Li Ke thought for a moment, then took out a needle and pricked it.
Xia Yu's eyes widened suddenly. Li Ke poured half a bottle of medicated oil into her mouth, then quickly covered her mouth, pulled down her mask, and signaled her to be quiet and not to move.
Even though Xia Yu's expression was contorted with pain, it seemed to carry a hint of dullness. Even the reddened skin caused by the medicated oil turned red very slowly and with a dull sensation.
Li Ke gestured and asked her: Are you awake now?
Xia Yu nodded, her face flushed. The aftereffects of the medicated oil had worn off somewhat, but she was still feeling quite unwell as she regained her senses.
Li Ke told her to lie still and walked towards the next person, Xia Ji, who was lying on the ground at the very edge. Having learned from her experience, Li Ke used a needle to prick the person until he was half awake, and then poured half a bottle of medicated oil down his throat.
Meeting Xia Ji's gaze, Li Ke covered his mouth, signaling him to keep it closed so as not to let the smell escape, as the two people who were drawing blood would be coming over soon.
Xia Ji blinked to indicate his cooperation, and Li Ke released him, letting him continue lying there like a corpse.
Li Ke got up and intentionally or unintentionally moved a few beds slightly. When the two men were between Xia Yu and Xia Ji, Li Ke pushed the trolley behind the man and then lightly kicked Xia Ji's foot, signaling him to make a move.
As Xia Ji grabbed the male blood donor by the neck and pointed the stolen needle at his eyes, Li Ke had already subdued another woman and brought her to Xia Yu's side, making Xia Yu quickly change into the other woman's clothes.
Li Ke went to wake up the others and asked Xia Yu and Xia Ji to interrogate the man and woman about what was going on.
Using the same method, Li Ke woke everyone else up, but still made them lie in bed with their eyes closed.
It was very quiet inside. Xia Yu and Xia Ji spoke very softly, but most people could still hear about 70-80% of their voices.
Li Ke, wearing earphones, understood the gist of it: they were currently in the waiting area of Zone 3, and after the blood tests were completed, they would be processed in batches according to the results.
As for why Xia Ji and his group of elites were infected, it was because their food was laced with anesthetic drugs. After nightfall, the other party only needed to adjust the humidity of the air and release some inducers to fully activate the anesthetic effect.
This drug has a latency period of 48 hours. As long as the drug's effects are not activated, it will not have any effect on the human body, and naturally, no problems can be detected.
Forty-eight hours later, even without the use of any inducing agents, this substance will be completely excreted by the body without causing any harm.
In their words, when they were unsure whether there were any exceptional individuals among these prisoners, they tried their best not to harm any possibility.
Having asked the right question, Xia Ji twisted the man's neck, silently ending his life, and then placed him among his teammates.
Xia Yu and Li Ke acted almost simultaneously, resolving the other two potential problems at the same time.
