The person in charge led Li Ke up the freight elevator and checked the fish's condition with a bright light. Overall, they all looked quite healthy.
Then the two vehicles went over the scale together, and their weights were recorded. The water truck had a large net underneath it, and then a crane lifted the net up. The water truck went over the scale again, and its weight was recorded. The person in charge then calculated the weight of the fish.
One person stayed behind to discuss the price with the person in charge, while the other two people drove the fish truck into the warehouse and parked it.
In the end, the two truckloads of live fish weighed a total of 1,300 jin (650 kg). Li Ke paid a total of 24,000 yuan, an extra 600 yuan, simply saying that they had worked hard. The three people who delivered the fish were all beaming with joy at Li Ke's generosity.
After finally finishing up, Li Ke gave the person in charge three thousand yuan as a reward for his hard work. The person in charge took the money and asked Li Ke, "When will your convoy arrive? Should I wait here for a while and help out tonight as well?"
Li Ke quickly said no need: "You take them to rest first. The convoy should arrive here after midnight. I will call you if needed."
The person in charge then asked Li Ke if she needed a place to rest that night, but Li Ke declined, saying she needed to check on the goods. So the person in charge happily led the three fish sellers away first.
It was already late at night. Although there were still some lights in the town, there was no sound. Li Ke closed the warehouse door, turned off the power, and then took out the monitoring device to check carefully. After confirming that it was safe, he began to receive the goods under the cover of night.
First, the rice and flour were collected, then all the shelves were removed, then the condiments were placed directly on the shelves, and then various barrelled cooking oils were placed on the shelves.
Next are mixed grain beans, mixed grain flour, and various types of vermicelli.
Because everyone had divided and categorized the goods during unloading, and kept some distance between them, it was impossible for Li Ke to put them all into his space at once.
By the time Li Ke finished collecting all the goods except the fish, she was already feeling very tired. She had hardly sat down to rest all day, and now she had expended so much energy collecting such a large quantity of goods, it was impossible for her not to be exhausted.
Li Ke found a mattress in his spatial storage, placed it on the warehouse floor, and lay down on it, pondering how to collect the two truckloads of fish.
She doesn't have a large container to hold water and raise fish. Speaking of which, Li Ke has bought a lot of various drinks, but she hasn't properly stocked up on drinking water yet.
Li Ke took out a family bucket from his spatial storage to replenish his energy. Then he focused his consciousness into the space to see if there was a suitable place to store the two truckloads of fish. If not, Li Ke could simply buy the trucks.
Seeing the chaotic state of the various goods scattered throughout the space, Li Ke felt a bit exhausted. She needed to find a way to organize the space, otherwise, these things were just too messy.
As Li Ke looked around, she realized that the area she could observe clearly seemed to have expanded. Now she could see distant hillsides and ditches.
With a thought, Li Ke appeared at the edge of the ditch, and the area she could reach at will became much wider.
Li Ke looked for the reason. Apart from receiving a lot of goods into her space today and being particularly tired, she hadn't done anything else.
Li Ke thought that he would observe the situation again when collecting a large amount of supplies in the future.
Now that there was a ditch, releasing the fish into the space wasn't too difficult. Li Ke rode his motorcycle out and collected several piles of soil and stones in the mountains outside the town to block a small section of the long ditch. Then he returned to the warehouse and put the two truckloads of fish, along with the plastic sheet bottoms and large nets, into the space.
Seeing that there was no leak, Li Ke left the space, took out two thousand yuan in cash and placed it on the driver's seat of the fish truck. Then he sent a timed message to the person in charge, and the two thousand yuan was used to buy their fishing nets and plastic sheeting.
The goods have been received. Li Ke thought about how he had paid the department store owner such a large sum of cash. If nothing unexpected happened, he would deposit the money into the bank tomorrow, or use a portion of it as payment for the goods.
To be on the safe side, Li Ke decided to leave that very night. After locking the warehouse door, Li Ke rode his motorcycle to Boss Liu's house.
Li Ke packed 50,000 yuan in a small bag, along with the warehouse key, and then threw it into Boss Liu's yard.
Once they were out of town, Li Ke sent a message to Boss Liu, telling him that she had left with the convoy. She also explained that she had paid an extra 50,000 yuan, and that she had the warehouse key and the two trucks inside.
Finally, he expressed his sincere gratitude to Boss Liu for her help and said that he could contact her by phone if he needed anything in the future.
Of course, Li Ke didn't want to have any more contact with Boss Liu, but if Boss Liu and his group got into trouble because of this money, Li Ke didn't want to remain unaware, so she left him an anonymous number.
After driving for another hour and a half after leaving the town, Li Ke, feeling tired, put away his motorcycle and found a flat spot in the mountains to park his small truck. He put a mattress in the truck bed and planned to rest in the forest for a few hours.
Having spent a long time in the apocalypse, Li Ke wasn't afraid of this deserted forest at all. After setting an alarm, she lay down and fell asleep immediately.
As dawn broke, Li Ke was woken by his alarm clock. He changed his disguise again, still appearing as a young man, only a bit thinner. After storing the truck in his spatial storage, he returned to the road, released his motorcycle, and set off again. Once he reached the outskirts of the city, Li Ke took out his new phone and called a long-distance bus. After successfully placing the order, he put away the motorcycle, carrying only a small backpack on his back.
Li Ke continued to rest in the car. After driving for seven hours, the car entered H City, and the driver stopped at the destination Li Ke had set.
