Cheng Chenwei fell to the ground. The pain from his injured arm made his head spin for a moment, but it also brought him back to his senses.
Cheng Chenwei supported himself with his left hand and carefully stood up. The cold sweat on his body was made even more uncomfortable by the chill.
He cleared his head and lowered his stance: "I understand. I acted impulsively just now. I will listen to you from now on and will never disobey you."
Li Ke frowned as she watched Cheng Chenwei trying to suppress his pain, and then asked him to come into the cabin with her.
Although this person has many despicable qualities, she still needs him now, so she can't let him get sick or have any accidents.
After Cheng Chenwei entered the cabin, he was taken down by his colleagues for a medical check-up. Li Ke was not around, but he carefully inquired about what had happened during his coma with his colleagues.
Her colleagues told her everything they knew, and it seemed that none of them knew about the disappearance of the research institute. Cheng Chenwei felt heavy-hearted, and her arm often ached, but she was powerless to do anything about these changes and could only focus on recovering.
After that, Cheng Chenwei had more free time. Whenever he had free time, he would run to the stern of the ship, take out his binoculars and look at the distant islands until he could no longer see them. Even then, he would often sit at the stern in a daze.
Li Ke rarely appeared in public anymore, but the people on the ship did not resist her at all. They had all seen how powerful she was, and even if they gave each of them a submachine gun, they were not confident that they could eliminate this woman in one fell swoop.
Cheng Chenwei still controlled the direction and operations of the entire voyage. Three days passed, and Li Ke stayed in his room, only standing at the bow or stern of the ship for a while each morning.
She hasn't eaten anything for days. The ship's staff brought her food once, but she refused it outright and said they didn't need to bring her any more food.
On the fifth day, the ship received an external signal. Cheng Chenwei looked at the miniature notebook in her colleague's hand and sneered: "You've been hiding it quite well. When did you get in touch with them? Have you already reported our situation to the outside world?"
The colleague didn't seem uncomfortable with Cheng Chenwei's questioning; he had his own stance and was simply doing what he was supposed to do.
"After Li Ke joined the research institute, I took the opportunity to send out information, but I haven't had the chance to send out any more information since then. Now the higher-ups want to contact her directly, but I think we should ask her opinion first."
Cheng Chenwei's face darkened: "Aren't you afraid she'll kill you?"
My colleague shook his head: "Knowing my identity, she won't lay a hand on me, which is why my superior sent the communication request directly."
Cheng Chenwei thought of Li Ke's eyes, which were cold yet righteous, and realized that her colleague was right.
These past few days, Li Ke has been spending four or five hours in her space. While the space's consciousness is jumping up and down in a panic, she just leisurely walks her dog, organizes the space's supplies, checks on her pets in the forest, or checks on Ruan Chun's living situation.
Only after the spatial consciousness repeatedly apologized to her did she teleport to the front of the spatial black hole. The nearby energy pool was gone, leaving only a pile of black crystals.
Ignoring the obstruction of spatial consciousness, Li Ke jumped directly into the spatial black hole. After a long descent, he finally landed on the ground.
Beneath their feet was a larger energy pool, beneath which lay a pile of solar energy minerals. The quantity looked considerable, but the overall weight was not particularly large.
The liquid in the pool was produced by the space to melt and absorb the light energy minerals. The energy deep in the earth is very similar in properties to the energy needed by the space, but there are still some differences. If the space wants to make full use of them, it still needs to be melted and transformed. At present, the process is still quite slow.
The spatial consciousness had already sensed Li Ke's absolute control over space, and now dared not have any ulterior motives.
He pleaded with Li Ke, saying, "I really didn't lie to you, I'm truly poor. Give me that big piece too."
Li Ke felt he had taught it a lesson enough, and replied: I can't give you this piece. I'll get more for you when I get to a bigger mining area.
The spatial consciousness had already distinguished between the two kings, but it hadn't finished decomposing its own black hole. Hearing Li Ke's response, it could only suppress its greed and obediently agree.
When Cheng Chenwei and her colleagues knocked on Li Ke's door, she had already been out for a while. After they invited her out, Li Ke went straight to the liaison room without any explanation from them.
Sitting in front of the monitor, Li Ke said to them, "Connect the communication."
The colleague quickly adjusted the equipment, sent a signal, and a moment later, the captain's figure appeared on the monitor.
Li Ke was left inside on the phone while everyone else left. Cheng Chenwei stood with her colleagues and sighed, "Things are about to get complicated."
The colleague disagreed: "It's not a simple matter to begin with, and it's something that can't afford any unexpected problems. If we can cooperate, it's better to cooperate."
Cheng Chenwei shook his head: "That's not what I meant. You let you stay by my side, so they must have also placed people by our side. I suppose they know pretty much everything they need to know."
The colleague's expression only turned serious for a moment before relaxing again: "It's not surprising. I don't think Li Ke is trying to hide herself anymore. She's absolutely confident in herself now, which is why she's acting this way."
Cheng Chenwei didn't say anything more, but she wholeheartedly agreed with her colleague's words.
More than half an hour later, Li Ke came out, Cheng Chenwei's colleagues went into the liaison room to pack up their equipment, and Cheng Chenwei followed Li Ke to the bow of the ship.
