Her brain was still telling her not to relax, but her body really couldn't hold on any longer. After drinking a couple more sips of water, Li Ke closed her eyes and planned to take a short rest.
She didn't know how much time had passed when she heard a noise and opened her eyes. She saw a dark figure squatting in front of her. She wanted to swing her hand to hit it, but her quick recovery of reason made her restrain herself from attacking.
"Sleeping soundly. What, aren't you two sisters planning to do any work tonight? You're quite pretty. Interested in playing with me?" The man said with a grin when he saw Li Ke open her eyes.
Li Ke felt that this person might not have realized that Chen Jiaojiao was already dead. She calmed herself down and said, "Aren't you afraid of making your boss angry? You can try."
The man licked his lips lewdly: "Let's play secretly. I have some good food. Aren't you hungry?"
Li Ke felt disgusted by this lustful man who reeked of sourness. She stared at him coldly and said, "I only want to be the boss's woman. If you're so capable, then take your boss's place."
She pressed one hand against the brick next to her buttocks, ready to throw a brick at him if he made any further moves.
The man stared at Li Ke for a while, then stood up, adjusted his belt, and mocked her from above, "With your slender frame, our boss will get tired of you after a couple of days. Sooner or later you'll end up in my hands, so I'm not in a hurry."
After saying that, the man spat and turned to leave the dilapidated brick house without a door, without even glancing at Chen Jiaojiao lying next to him.
Li Ke sat there, completely out of the noise, and finally breathed a sigh of relief. But she dared not sleep anymore, unsure if the man would realize something was wrong and come back.
After all, there were two people in the room, but the other person didn't make a sound. Anyone who paid attention would realize something was wrong when they thought about it later.
