Chapter 53 Registration and Renting a Farmhouse

If the inspection is passed, the next step is to pay the registration fee, practice flying and driving a car, and finally take the exam to get a license.

Li Ke had nothing to worry about regarding the results of her physical examination. Her current physical condition was clearly excellent, even without further testing.

After leaving the club, Li Ke parted ways with Ruan Yin. She found a highly-rated Chinese restaurant nearby and had a delicious lunch. She also packed five portions of each of the restaurant's signature dishes. After leaving the club, she found a secluded corner and stored the packed food in her spatial storage. Then she changed her clothes.

When Li Ke reappeared in public, he had become a bald, middle-aged man in his late thirties or early forties, wearing a pair of dull black-rimmed glasses and a blue medical mask, with a black briefcase tucked under his arm, walking with a slightly hunched back in the crowd.

At that moment, Li Ke was on the phone: "I heard that some farmhouses in your area are available for sublet. Has it been rented out yet?"

Upon hearing Li Ke's question, the other party immediately replied, "No, no, it's still here. Are you interested in this place?" Li Ke's voice, transmitted through a voice changer, came through the microphone as a slightly deep male voice: "I am somewhat interested in this place. Is it convenient for me to go and take a look now?"

The other party replied very enthusiastically, "Sure, you can come anytime. We always have someone here."

After hearing the other party's reply, Li Ke told them that he would come over right away.

After hanging up the phone, Li Ke hailed a taxi by the roadside, heading to a farmhouse restaurant on the outskirts of the city.

The farmhouse is located in an orchard on the outskirts of the city. It is quite large, with a courtyard of over 900 square meters. The buildings are two rows of two-story buildings with only 20 to 30 rooms, built on the side of the courtyard.

The courtyard wall is very high, with some openwork fan-shaped windows on it, and some vines climbing on the windows. There are some bonsai and two ecological fish ponds in the courtyard.

Perhaps because no one has tended to these plants and fishponds for a long time, everything now looks quite desolate.

However, the overall structure and practicality of the house are very good, and it is also quite clean inside. After renting it, you only need to do a little cleaning and you can start using it immediately.

After looking at it carefully, Li Ke thought it was acceptable and asked the landlord how much it would cost to rent.

The landlord said, "This house and the orchard are together. If you want to rent it, you have to do it together. The fruit trees and produce in the orchard can be given to the tenant, but the lease must be for a minimum of three years."

After the landlord finished speaking, seeing that Li Ke hesitated and remained silent, he quickly added, "Land and houses like this are usually leased for a minimum of five years. I'm only making this concession because I think we get along well and I don't want this place to remain vacant and unattended."

Upon hearing this, Li Ke inquired about the rent. The landlord informed her that the annual rent was 250,000 yuan and the three-year rent was 750,000 yuan. If she did not pay a deposit, all of this money would need to be paid in full at once.

After considering it for a moment, Li Ke told the other party that she only had 400,000 yuan in cash at the moment, and could only rent for two years. She could make up the shortfall of 100,000 yuan after one year. If the returns were good after two years, she could continue to rent.

Upon hearing this, the landlord looked troubled, and Li Ke didn't say anything more, but walked outside.

As he walked, he said, "Please think about it some more. I have other things to take care of, so I won't bother you any longer."

Seeing Li Ke leave so decisively, the other party quickly grabbed her and said, "This place is actually quite nice, but I don't have anyone at home to manage it, and hiring someone would be too much trouble. Since you're interested, let's do it for two years. If you do well after two years, you can continue. If you don't, I won't force you to continue renting. Let's do business peacefully."

After reviewing the various documents provided by the other party and finding a local guarantor, Li Ke successfully rented the farmhouse.

After obtaining the lease agreement, Li Ke asked the original landlord if there were any good banquet organizers in the area, as she wanted to hire some cooks from the farmhouse restaurant.
