Chapter 260 Giving Away Money

Li Ke had a lot to know. She originally thought that this was a safe zone opened up by the military, so the management would be very strict. But what she saw so far was quite different.

This is the second sentry post they've reached; the first one was the entrance, and this is the first sentry post after entering.

The checks and reporting procedures at the sentry post were quite strict, and the people who received them were clearly well-trained soldiers. However, the rest area was a completely different story.

If they hadn't come out with Uncle Mo to broaden their horizons, how would they have known that such entertainment venues and outsourced personnel existed?

Who are the owners of these casinos? How did they acquire these places? And where did their staff come from? Li Ke was quite curious about all of this.

Li Ke looked into the other person's eyes and said, "I'd like to know all the details."

The pretty girl tilted her head slightly and said with a coquettish smile, "You're being a bit greedy. We're not close enough yet."

Following her lead, Li Ke asked, "So how do you define 'relatively familiar'?"

"Hmm...?" The girl looked at Li Ke and pondered for a moment before saying, "How about spending the night with me in this casino?"

Li Ke asked directly, "Can I find out everything I want to know in one night?"

The pretty girl chuckled and said, "That's not necessarily true; the process determines the outcome."

Li Ke agreed: "Okay, I'll play with you for one night, but I have some companions. I'll go say hello to them and then come back to continue with you."

The pretty girl smiled at Li Ke: "Okay, see you there, but don't break your promise!"

Li Ke: "See you there."

Turning around and walking into the room, Li Ke began to look for Mo Bao'er and the others. Uncle Mo and the others were no longer at the poker room.

Li Ke scanned the area for less than a minute before finding them; it was a lively place, so it was easy to spot them.

Uncle Mo and his group moved to the largest roulette table. Mo Bao'er and Mo Cheng stood behind Uncle Mo, neither of them looking relaxed.

Uncle Mo, on the other hand, sat at the table quite leisurely, with a slight smile on his lips. Beside him sat a beautiful woman in a cheongsam, looking at Uncle Mo with a smile, as if she was very fond of him.

Li Ke went over and asked what was going on. Judging from Uncle Mo's condition, it didn't seem like he had lost, but judging from Mo Bao'er and the others' reactions, it didn't seem like a big win either.

Mo Bao'er took a deep breath while looking at the card table, and then turned to Li Ke and said, "Uncle is just a show-off. He lost all of my and my brother's gambling money, and now we are in debt. We trusted the wrong person."

Li Ke glanced at Uncle Mo, who was sitting calmly at the gambling table, and was surprised. He couldn't believe it at all. His face was full of confidence.

Mo Bao'er said aggrievedly, "We haven't even played a single game yet, and the money is already gone. And Uncle won't let us look sad and affect his luck. It's so infuriating! Is that woman blind? He's just an unlucky old man, and she's been fawning over him the whole time."

Li Ke nodded: "He's also a free-spending immortal."

Mo Bao'er snorted: "He's squandering our money."

Seeing that she was unhappy, Li Ke took out five chips and gave them to her: "Take these and play."

Mo Bao'er took it and saw that it totaled five thousand. Her eyes widened immediately: "You gave it all to me? You won money? How could you be so kind!"

Mo Bao'er actually had money, but when she saw her great-uncle spending it all, she dared not gamble anymore.

She was no stranger to gambling; she had occasionally gambled before when she went out. However, according to the Mo family rules, one could understand gambling but not become addicted.

If you're lucky and keep winning, that's fine, you can play however you want. But if you lose five million in a year, you'll have to pay back fifty million to your clan before you can start the next round of gambling.

Right now, she's calculating in her mind the amount her great-uncle lost, and she'll soon have to work like a slave to pay off the debt to the clan.

Mo Cheng, standing nearby, asked enviously, "My sister has one, but do I?"

Seeing that he was quite well-behaved, Li Ke thought for a moment and gave him a chip. Mo Cheng immediately smiled and said, "Brother Li is such a good person."

Before Li Ke could speak, another hand reached out from beside him: "Come, come, Little Li, your uncle needs some financial assistance too. Take out whatever you have, and I'll pay you back if we win."

Li Ke was stunned for a moment. What? Little Li? This Uncle Mo is really not polite.

Li Ke placed the last four thousand-yuan chips she had exchanged into Uncle Mo's hand, and Uncle Mo gave her an approving smile: "Good girl."

Li Ke remained expressionless and did not want to speak. Mo Bao'er, who was standing next to him, could not stand it and wanted to return her chips to Li Ke.

Uncle Mo stretched his hand out in front of her eyes again: "Give me yours too."

Mo Bao'er puffed out her cheeks and placed the chip in her great-uncle's hand. Before her great-uncle could reach out his hand, Mo Cheng took the initiative to hand it over: "Great-uncle, this is the only one I have."

Uncle Mo nodded: "You're all good."

Then he turned around and put the ten chips he had just snatched onto the table in front of him, finally giving his increasingly thin gambling funds some thickness.

The beautiful woman in the cheongsam next to him used a fruit skewer to put a piece of fruit into Uncle Mo's mouth, which made Li Ke a little envious.

It seems only someone like Uncle Mo can attract such a beautiful woman to accompany him; someone like her can only be paired with that pretty little girl, Chunhua.

Seeing Mo Bao'er's heartbroken expression, Li Ke patted her shoulder to express his sympathy.

Mo Bao'er and the others are the younger generation. When Uncle Mo does things outside, whether they are reasonable or not, they have to listen to him and follow him. They can't go against him.

Li Ke told Mo Bao'er that he was going to spend the night with that pretty girl, and Mo Bao'er followed Li Ke's gaze and saw the girl.
