In the corridor.
Wei Qiao hurried toward Shen Zhi Qiu's ward, accompanied by an anxious old man.
The nurse re-bandaged Rong Mo's wound and instructed him, "You must be very careful. The wound is very deep and heals very slowly. It will be very troublesome if it reopens."
Rong Mo was worried about Shen Zhi Qiu and wanted to get back to the ward area as soon as possible, so he quickly tried to put his sleeves down.
But as soon as he turned his head, he saw Wei Qiao, who looked nervous, and the people around him.
"Wei Qiao!" Rong Mo frowned and called out to the person passing by the door with displeasure.
Wei Qiao was taken aback. Upon seeing that it was Rong Mo, she quickly walked in, bowed her head, and said, "President Rong, I'm sorry, I couldn't hide it from the Chairman..."
Before Wei Qiao could finish speaking, Rong Hong frowned with concern, "How can you keep such a big thing a secret?!"
"About Zhi Qiu..." Rong Mo anxiously wanted to confirm with Wei Qiao.
"I haven't had a chance to tell the chairman about this yet. He was extremely anxious when he learned that you were injured and rushed to the hospital immediately. I think it would be better if you told Miss Shen about this yourself."
"Dad." Rong Mo sighed, deciding to give him a heads-up first.
But Rong Hong's eyes were fixed on the thick bandage on his son's arm, his face was very ugly, and a fierce feeling immediately welled up in his heart.
“Wei Qiao, you must make the driver who caused the accident reveal who the mastermind is.” Rong Hong’s gaze turned fierce. “I think he wants to go back to jail again.”
Rong Mo's eyes flashed coldly; they all knew who was behind it all. But the car owner was just a recently released convict who had insisted at the police station that he was simply resentful of the rich and couldn't stand people driving luxury cars, thinking he could kill as many as he could, acting as if he didn't care at all.
But they all felt that things couldn't possibly be that simple; it's just that there's no evidence for the time being.
Fortunately, due to road construction ahead and considering Shen Zhi Qiu's pregnancy and the risk of her getting carsick, they didn't drive too fast and maintained a steady speed. Therefore, a major accident was averted.
"Dad, let's not talk about that now. I want to introduce you to someone. I was planning to wait until she recovered before bringing her home to meet you, but it's good that you're here. I'm sure you'll be happy to see her sooner."
When Shen Zhi Qiu was mentioned, Rong Mo's gaze softened, and a smile appeared on his face.
Rong Hong looked at him with some confusion.
"Mr. Rong, Miss Shen is fine, and the baby in her womb is stable. She can be discharged after a few more days of observation. However, if she goes home to recuperate, she must be careful not to have any more collisions."
Just then, the doctor walked in and reported Shen Zhi Qiu's condition to Rong Mo.
Rong Mo nodded.
"A child?" Rong Hong was shocked; he had never heard of a woman appearing near his son. "You..."
"Dad, you've misunderstood. Please come with me." Rong Mo smiled helplessly, stood up, and gestured for Rong Hong to follow him to the ward.
"Knock knock knock," Rong Mo curled his fingers and gently knocked on the door.
"Please come in." Shen Zhi Qiu's gentle voice rang out from inside the door.
Rong Mo pushed open the door and gestured for Rong Hong, who was walking behind him, to go in first.
Rong Hong was somewhat puzzled, but he still stepped inside. Rong Mo gestured to Wei Qiao to stand guard at the door, and then followed Rong Hong inside.
When Shen Zhi Qiu and Rong Hong looked at each other, they were both stunned.
In the quiet ward, Rong Hong, who was usually serious, had his facial muscles twitching involuntarily. His eyebrows were raised, and his forehead, which originally had only a few wrinkles, was now furrowed into a deep frown. His fingers, which were hanging at his sides, were also trembling slightly. He nervously opened his mouth, but his lips moved up and down without making a sound.
"Dad." Shen Zhi Qiu broke the silence first, forcing a smile.
Rong Hong froze, his eyes instantly reddening. He walked uncontrollably towards Shen Zhi Qiu, each step unsteady, filled with the joy of regaining what he had lost and the unbelievable weight of his heart. When he reached Shen Zhi Qiu's bedside, tears streamed down his face.
"My child, you have suffered so much!"
Looking at Shen Zhi Qiu's protruding belly and the small scratches on her face, Rong Hong tremblingly raised his hand, wanting to touch Shen Zhi Qiu's face, but then lowered it again, somewhat hesitant.
Shen Zhi Qiu pursed her lips, her eyes reddening. She took Rong Hong's trembling hand and gently placed it on her cheek. "Dad, I'm fine."
Rong Hong gently stroked Shen Zhi Qiu's cheek, saying emotionally, "Your features still resemble your mother's when she was young, especially those eyes. Your mother was just as bright and lively when she was young." He then wiped away tears, choking back sobs as he continued, "We always thought you were gone at birth..."
“Dad, the one from back then… was switched.” Rong Mo frowned. “I’m still investigating, but what I can confirm now is that the child was definitely not the one Mom gave birth to. Zhi Qiu was switched and taken away.”
"Zhi Qiu?" Rong Hong murmured her name with a complicated expression, looking at Shen Zhi Qiu with heartache, and said, "It's such a joyous occasion that our family can be reunited. It's truly a blessing from heaven!"
----------
In a villa halfway up a mountain in the capital city.
"Second Master, I'm sorry, Shen Zhi Qiu has already been brought back by Rong Mo."
The monsoon bowed its head, bracing itself for the wrath of thunder.
Rong Han sat on the sofa, his legs lazily crossed, slowly smoking a Cuban cigar. Listening to Ji Feng's report, his face suddenly darkened, a cold glint flashing in his eyes. "Heh, quite quick! Looks like your people were incompetent, and he seized the opportunity."
"Second Master, I was wrong! I was really wrong!" Ji Feng's legs went weak with fear, and he apologized repeatedly.
"You think you can just dismiss it with a casual 'I'm wrong'?" Rong Han's expression was somewhat sinister as he said with a half-smile, "We'll have to see some blood."
