"Gu Qingyan, you're such a jinx! Nothing good ever happens when I run into you!" Gu Ningning struggled desperately, turning her head to yell at Gu Qingyan.
"What are you saying?! I only came here to save you, otherwise why would I come here to suffer with you?" Gu Qingyan retorted, somewhat annoyed.
Hearing this, Gu Ningning's anger subsided a little, and she stopped scolding Gu Qingyan.

The bodyguard bluntly undermined them.

"Ningning?!" Gu Qingyan was somewhat angry. "Whose side are you on?"

The two immediately became obedient.

Gu Qingyan fell flat on her face, landing face-first in the dirt.
Before he could even brush the dust off himself, the bodyguard had already raised his baton and struck him on the back.
Gu Qingyan let out a wail, but quickly got up, afraid that a second blow would fall on him.
He quickly grabbed a hoe from the side, turned around abruptly to assume a defensive stance, and roared at the bodyguard, "What the hell do you want with me?"
"Put it down!" A loud shout suddenly came from behind.
Gu Qingyan remained unmoved and did not even glance back.
"Or I'll shoot!" The cold voice rang out again from behind.
Gu Qingyan pursed his lips, but dared not gamble with his life, and obediently put down the hoe.
"Throw it further away." The bodyguard opposite Gu Qingyan sneered.
Seeing Gu Qingyan throw the hoe two meters away, the bodyguard continued, "Gu Qingyan, are you stupid? Do you think I'm the only bodyguard watching you here?"
Gu Qingyan remained silent, her face cold.
"Kneel down." The bodyguard pressed the baton against Gu Qingyan's shoulder and pushed it down forcefully.
Gu Qingyan wore an incredulous expression, staring at the bodyguard with eyes full of hatred.
"I said, kneel down." The bodyguard pressed down harder, but Gu Qingyan held on and only swayed slightly.
The bodyguard got angry and slammed a stick into Gu Qingyan's shoulder. Gu Qingyan winced in pain, but stubbornly remained silent.
"If you don't kneel down, I'll let your sister taste the flavor of a police baton," the bodyguard sneered, threatening Gu Qingyan.
Gu Qingyan frowned, glared at the bodyguard, and said fiercely, "You dare!"
"Heh heh. What wouldn't I dare to do? Aren't you all at my mercy now?" the bodyguard sneered. "You've done so many outrageous things, I'm avenging our young lady!"
Seeing Gu Qingyan's defiant expression, the bodyguard stepped forward and lowered his voice, saying, "Or does Mr. Gu think it doesn't matter if the baton falls on that Miss Xiao?"

"Where is Wanqing?" Gu Qingyan suddenly became anxious, grabbed the bodyguard's arm, and asked urgently, "Did you also bring Wanqing here?"
As he spoke, he looked around, trying to see which building still had any signs of life. After all, he hadn't seen anyone else in their building.
"Ha," the bodyguard sneered, "It seems Mr. Gu is truly deeply in love with this Miss Xiao!"
"I'm begging you, if you tell me where Wanqing is, I can give you money. Name your price." Gu Qingyan said with a stern face, starting to negotiate.
"If you're asking for a favor, you should act like one. Kneel down," the bodyguard said calmly.
