Chapter 333 Rong Hong suggests that Lu Xiaoyu stay in the capital to study.

Shen Zhi Qiu and Rong Mo both looked towards the doorway.

"Zhi Qiu, you're back?" Rong Hong, who had just been carefully helped in by Yan Yan, saw Shen Zhi Qiu standing in front of him and immediately smiled broadly, quickening his pace to walk towards Shen Zhi Qiu.

"Zhiqiu? You're back so soon?" Yan Yan paused for a second when she saw Shen Zhiqiu, then smiled and walked towards her.

"Yes, I came back as soon as I finished my business." Shen Zhi Qiu greeted Yan Yan naturally, without showing any sign of anything unusual.

"Dad, are you alright? My brother told me you had a heart attack, it scared me to death." Shen Zhi Qiu sighed, looking at him with some concern. His father, Rong Hong, smiled and patted his chest, telling Shen Zhi Qiu not to worry.

Shen Zhi Qiu couldn't shake the feeling of worry. She knew her father had always had a weak heart, and this recent attack made her even more anxious.

Yan Yan couldn't help but frown, glancing at Rong Hong with some worry. Rong Hong immediately lowered his hand, chuckling awkwardly, "Don't worry about Dad, even though Dad is old, he's still in good health!"

Shen Zhi Qiu watched their interaction silently, a bad premonition rising in her heart. She sensed that her father's attitude towards Yan Yan seemed overly intimate, and Yan Yan's eyes revealed an indescribable emotion. Shen Zhi Qiu was somewhat unwilling to believe her intuition, but the scene before her left her confused and uneasy.

Shen Zhi Qiu pursed her lips, discreetly observing Rong Mo's expression. Rong Mo simply winked at her, signaling her not to show it.

"Zhiqiu, come here and tell your father about what's happened these past few days." Rong Hong said, pulling Shen Zhiqiu to sit down again.

Yan Yan then walked towards the kitchen.

"Yan Yan, don't bother, let Aunt Zhao do it." Rong Hong subconsciously called out to Yan Yan.

"It's alright, I'll take care of it. Uncle Rong, you two chat first." Yan Yan smiled and turned around, looking at Rong Hong with a gentle expression.

"Uncle Rong?" Shen Zhi Qiu thought to herself, and couldn't help but frown. She had only been gone for a few days, and the relationship between Yan Yan and Rong Hong seemed to have undergone earth-shattering changes.

"Zhiqiu, have you settled Grandma in properly this time?" Rong Hong asked her with a worried expression.

"Sister Zhi Qiu! I won!" As soon as Rong Hong finished speaking, the glass door leading from the garden to the living room was opened, and Lu Xiaoyu rushed in happily, holding a basketball.

Rong Hong paused for a moment, then turned around with some confusion to look at Lu Xiaoyu, who was covered in sweat.

Shen Zhi Qiu stood up, made a "shh" gesture to Lu Xiao Yu, and then pointed to her grandmother's room.

Lu Xiaoyu immediately understood, scratched her head somewhat embarrassedly, and quietly ran to Shen Zhi Qiu's side.

Shen Zhi Qiu patted Lu Xiao Yu's head and said softly, "It's okay, Grandma is sleeping soundly, she probably didn't hear you. Here, wipe your sweat first, you're covered in sweat." As she spoke, Shen Zhi Qiu took out a tissue and handed it to Lu Xiao Yu.

Lu Xiaoyu quickly placed the basketball at her feet and then wiped away her sweat.

“Come here, Xiaoyu, let me introduce you.” Shen Zhi Qiu pulled Lu Xiaoyu over and then introduced her to Rong Hong: “Dad, this is Xiaoyu, Lu Jia’s younger brother. I brought Grandma and Xiaoyu back together.”

Rong Hong looked at Lu Xiaoyu with a loving expression and greeted her with a smile, "Come, Xiaoyu, come sit here and rest for a while."

Lu Xiaoyu obediently walked over and greeted Rong Hong earnestly: "Hello, Uncle, my name is Lu Xiaoyu."

"Okay, okay, come sit down first." With that, Rong Hong pulled Lu Xiaoyu to sit beside him and asked curiously:

“I heard Lu Jia mention that Xiaoyu used to help Sister Zhi Qiu take care of her grandmother in the countryside, right?” Rong Hong looked at Lu Xiaoyu with heartache in his eyes.

"Yes." Lu Xiaoyu said a little embarrassedly, "I didn't help much. I just kept my grandma company and made her happy. My grandma loves chatting with me the most."

"What a good child." Rong Hong looked at Lu Xiaoyu with some emotion. "You've worked hard, child. Don't leave this time. Stay in the capital."

"No, I've been on leave from school for a year. It's been a long time since I went back to Rongcheng to study. I was thinking of going back to school after a while." Lu Xiaoyu pouted unhappily.

"I had to take a break from school for more than half a year because of a leg injury, and then various things happened that delayed me. I really should go back to school this year," Shen Zhi Qiu added.

"Oh? Xiaoyu, would you like to study in the capital?" Rong Hong suddenly asked. "The schools in the capital are the best in the country. If you're willing, your uncle can help you arrange it."

Lu Xiaoyu's eyes lit up, but then she thought about how she had been out of school for a year and must have fallen behind in her studies. Moreover, before Lu Jia found a tutor to give her extra lessons, she hadn't learned many things. Her foundation was already weak, and she wasn't even considered a good student in Chengdu. If she came to the capital, she would definitely be even worse off.

Thinking of this, Lu Xiaoyu looked somewhat dejected, shook her head and said, "Thank you, Uncle Rong, but I still want to go back to Rongcheng to study. My grades are not good to begin with, and if I go to a school in the capital, I will definitely fall even further behind the other students."

Rong Hong wasn't surprised when Xiaoyu refused. His earlier words had indeed been a bit abrupt, but he liked the child more and more the more he looked at her. So he continued, "Xiaoyu, don't underestimate yourself. You've been able to take care of your grandmother in the countryside for so long; you must be a filial and patient child. If you're worried about falling behind in your studies, Uncle Rong can help you find the best tutors. Just focus on your studies. The teaching staff in the capital is definitely better than in Chengdu."

Lu Xiaoyu was still somewhat insecure. He lowered his head and said softly, "But...but Uncle Rong, this is too much trouble for you. I'd better..."

"Xiaoyu, don't worry," Shen Zhi Qiu said. "Your Uncle Rong loves helping children. He even built a Hope Primary School for the children in the mountains. You can rest assured about that."

"Yes, Xiaoyu, just listen to your sister Zhiqiu and focus on your studies in the capital." Rong Hong patted Lu Xiaoyu's head. "If you have any difficulties, just tell Uncle Rong, and Uncle Rong will definitely help you solve them."

Lu Xiaoyu was moved by Rong Hong and Shen Zhi Qiu's sincerity. He raised his head, nodded seriously, and said, "Thank you, Uncle Rong, thank you, Sister Zhi Qiu, but I still need to discuss it with my brother Lu first."

“If you like, you can stay in the capital. That way, I won’t have to worry about you as much.” Lu Jia walked in carrying Lu Xiaoyu’s coat. Clearly, he had overheard their conversation.
