Chapter 450 Lu Jia Returns to the Rong Family

Lu Jia immediately turned around, only to see the man grab a chair and swing it at him. The chair whistled through the air, heading straight for his back. Lu Jia instinctively tried to dodge, but his right foot tripped on a table by the door, causing him to lose his balance. As the chair was about to strike his back, a wave of panic washed over him.

At this critical moment, several tall men in black suits suddenly rushed in through the door. They were agile, swift, and well-trained. One of them, quick as a flash, grabbed Lu Jia's arm and forcefully pulled him backward.

Lu Jia steadied himself and turned around. He saw a man in a black suit standing behind him, staring intently ahead.

At the same time, another man in a black suit rushed in and grabbed the man's wrist. He twisted it forcefully, and a cracking sound came from the man's wrist. The man cried out in pain and fell to the ground.

Immediately afterward, the other bodyguards quickly surrounded Lu Jia, protecting her in the middle. They watched the man lying on the ground warily, ready to react to his next move.

"Are you alright?" Bodyguard leader Kobayashi walked up to Lu Jia and asked with concern. His voice was deep and powerful, revealing an unquestionable authority.

Lu Jia shook her head to indicate that she was fine.

"Thank you," Lu Jia said to Rong Mo's bodyguards, her voice filled with gratitude.

At this moment, the other customers in the noodle shop were also stunned by this sudden turn of events. Looking at the man lying on the ground and the bodyguards surrounding Lu Jia, they couldn't help but feel uneasy. They knew that this man was clearly no ordinary person; otherwise, he wouldn't have so many bodyguards protecting him.

Seeing that someone had already called the police, Lu Jia dusted himself off, picked up the backpack that had fallen to the ground and dusted it off, then said to the bodyguards, "Thank you for saving me earlier. I have other things to do, so I'll be leaving now." His voice was calm and firm, as if the danger he had just experienced was just a trivial matter.

However, as soon as he finished speaking, Xiaolin paused for a moment, then quickly stepped forward and blocked Lu Jia's path, saying anxiously, "Mr. Lu, aren't you coming back with us? Miss has cried countless times because of you."

Upon hearing the words "Young Miss," Lu Jia's body stiffened slightly. He looked up at Xiao Lin, a flicker of surprise crossing his eyes, but it was quickly replaced by confusion. He frowned, trying to recall the title, but he couldn't remember anything about Xiao Lin. This confusion and helplessness made him feel somewhat panicked.

The bodyguards exchanged bewildered glances, none of them knowing what to say. Their orders were to find Lu Jia, and although they were all certain this person might be Lu Jia, they were overjoyed when they saw her face. Not only did this person look exactly like Lu Jia, but even her demeanor and mannerisms were identical. This made them both excited and nervous.

But Lu Jia seems to remember nothing.

"Don't you remember me?" The head bodyguard pointed to his face. "Take a good look at yourself." His eyes were full of expectation, as if hoping that Lu Jia would suddenly remember him.

Lu Jia looked at his face, scrutinizing it carefully. But he still shook his head and said, "Should I know you?" His voice revealed a sense of confusion.

"Are you Mr. Lu? Lu Jia? Right?" The bodyguard looked at the person in front of him, who had the exact same face as Lu Jia, except for a shallow scar. He was a little unsure for a moment, so he tentatively asked again.

Lu Jia's body stiffened again, her brows furrowed, as she tried hard to remember something.

"It's me, Xiaolin! Don't you recognize me? It's okay if you don't recognize me, but Miss, you can't not recognize me, can you?" The bodyguard said, quickly taking out his phone from his coat and anxiously flipping through the photo album.

Finally, he found a photo and quickly pointed the screen at Lu Jia.

In the photo, a tall, slender figure stands out against the backdrop of gardenias in front of the man's villa. Sunlight filters through the leaves, casting dappled shadows on him. These shadows sway gently in the breeze, making his features appear even more handsome and striking.

His gaze was tenderly fixed on the woman before him, his eyes filled with tenderness and love.

Shen Zhi Qiu wore a light blue dress, her profile soft and elegant. Her hair was simply tied back, a few strands fluttering in the wind, gently brushing her cheeks, adding to her gentleness and casualness. She was slightly bent over, intently pruning gardenias.

Although the photo only captured her profile, the sense of familiarity deeply touched Lu Jia's heart.

That silhouette that haunts my dreams every night...

“Zhi Qiu?” Lu Jia murmured to himself, looking at the face in the photo. He seemed to be able to feel her warmth and presence. At that moment, a jumble of memories flooded his mind. He recalled many moments with Shen Zhi Qiu, those sweet times and warm scenes intertwining in his mind, but he couldn’t connect them.

Seeing Lu Jia's reaction, Xiao Lin was so excited he almost jumped for joy. He shouted, "You remember now?" His voice was filled with joy and anticipation. For the past year, they had been searching for Lu Jia's whereabouts, and Shen Zhi Qiu had been silently praying for his safe return. Now, he had truly returned!

“I’ve always remembered Zhi Qiu,” Lu Jia said softly, his eyes slowly hardening.

"Then you should come back with me right away! If the young lady sees you and knows you're still alive, she'll be so happy!" Xiao Lin said impatiently. They had all witnessed how Shen Zhi Qiu had fared over the past year.

Lu Jia pursed his lips, looking at Xiao Lin's eager gaze, then at the photo in his hand. He took a deep breath, then nodded, a smile unconsciously appearing on his lips.

He knew he was close to getting the answer he wanted.

Along the way, the bodyguard excitedly told Lu Jia about his forgotten past, his excited speech becoming incoherent.

While Lu Jia was on her way home, Rong Mo had already received the news and rushed back immediately.

Lu Jia got out of the car and immediately saw the place in the photo. The gardenia bushes at the entrance overlapped with the scene in the photo, and for a moment, he was moved.

Just then, the black Maybach stopped in front of the villa.

Rong Mo anxiously pushed open the car door, and Lu Jia, hearing the noise, turned around.
