Chapter 400 Xiao Wanqing sinks into the sea

Lu Wei's eyes were icy cold, and her words revealed an undeniable resolve. The bodyguard nodded, started the car, and it sped out of the Rong family villa, heading towards the location shared by Jiang Bei.

On the way, Lu Jia's face kept flashing through Lu Wei's mind. Although her relationship with her family hadn't been good over the years, and she rarely contacted Lu Jia, and because she spent most of her time abroad, they seldom saw each other, they both cared deeply for and loved each other.

She had originally planned to stay longer this time, spend more time with Lu Jia, and if the time was right, go home to mend her relationship with her parents, but she never expected it to turn out like this...

Thinking of this, Lu Wei's tears flowed uncontrollably. The bodyguard felt a pang of pity, but didn't know how to comfort her, so he could only sigh silently and drive the car even faster.

Lu Wei's steps were firm and swift as she crossed the beach, each step seemingly a challenge to fate. Her gaze was fixed on the rickety little boat, on which bound the demon in her heart—Xiao Wanqing. Her eyes flashed with anger and hatred, as if she wanted to pour all her grief and rage into this moment.

Jiang Bei stood not far away, his figure appearing somewhat lonely in the sea breeze. As Lu Wei approached, his eyes were deep and complex, as if he were struggling with something. He took a few steps forward, his voice low and powerful: "Lu Wei, are you really ready? Once you take this step, there will be no turning back."

Lu Wei didn't answer directly, but took a deep breath, as if calming the turmoil in her heart. Her voice was weak, but full of determination: "Jiang Bei, I have to do this. I can't let my brother die in vain. I want to get justice for him."

Jiang Bei frowned, clearly worried about Lu Wei's decision. He tried to persuade her, "The search and rescue team is still looking for clues at sea; there might still be a glimmer of hope. If you act now, wouldn't that be..."

Lu Wei interrupted him, giving a bitter smile. Her long, curly hair was blown by the sea breeze, and the tears on her face looked even more heartbreaking in the sunlight. Her eyes revealed a deep sense of helplessness and sorrow: "Jiang Bei, you don't need to persuade me anymore. I know you mean well, but even if they really find my brother, it will probably just be a cold corpse. You also know very well that the best time for rescue has passed."

Her voice trembled, and tears welled in her eyes. Jiang Bei looked at her, a pang of sorrow gripping his heart. Looking at Lu Wei, Jiang Bei also felt a pang of sadness; this was the first time he had met Lu Jia's sister. Before, when Lu Jia showed him photos of her sister on her phone, saying how incredibly beautiful she was, she jokingly said she would introduce her to Jiang Bei so he could witness a top-tier beauty.

Little did they expect that their first meeting would take place in such a sorrowful setting.

He silently walked to Lu Wei's side, reached out and gently patted her shoulder: "Lu Wei, I understand how you feel. If you need help, I will do my best. I'll go up with you."

Lu Wei raised her head, looked into Jiang Bei's eyes, and a hint of gratitude flashed in them.

The two remained silent, each step they took filled with unbearable sorrow.

Lu Wei stared at Xiao Wanqing's pale and distorted face, her heart filled with hatred and disgust for this woman. Her fingers gripped the fruit knife tightly in her coat pocket.

As she approached, Lu Wei drew her knife, the blade reflecting a cold light in the dim light.

Xiao Wanqing seemed to sense the approaching death. Her eyelids lifted heavily, revealing a hint of fear and confusion. When she recognized Lu Wei's face, a flicker of surprise crossed her eyes, as if asking, "Lu Wei, is that you?"

Then he laughed again, "That's right, you're Lu Jia's sister. I killed Lu Jia, and now you're here to avenge him. I think you..."

Before Xiao Wanqing could finish speaking, Lu Wei acted swiftly and decisively, plunging the fruit knife directly into Xiao Wanqing's abdomen. Xiao Wanqing's body arched instantly, letting out a piercing scream.

"You all take turns coming to seek revenge on me, it's absolutely insane! Can't you just give me a quick death? Let me tell you, even if you kill me, Gu Qingyan will definitely avenge me!" Xiao Wanqing's voice was filled with pain and anger.

Lu Wei's heart was already filled with anger and grief, her eyes filled with endless rage and a desire for revenge. She raised the fruit knife again and stabbed Xiao Wanqing viciously. Each stab avoided vital organs, but was enough to cause Xiao Wanqing unbearable pain.

As blood continued to flow on the ship, Lu Wei's feet gradually turned red.

At this moment, Jiang Bei stepped forward and grabbed Lu Wei's arm. His gaze was firm and powerful as he told Lu Wei, "That's enough, Lu Wei. If you lay another hand on her, she'll die."

"I want her to die in agony!" Lu Wei cried.

"Leave the rest to me. Don't get yourself involved in any murders. I'll handle it." Jiang Bei insisted, gripping the knife in Lu Wei's hand and gradually increasing his strength. Finally, the knife fell from Lu Wei's hand onto the boat.

"I'll handle it." Jiang Bei gently hugged Lu Wei and comforted her softly. Then he raised his hand and waved to the bodyguard who brought Lu Wei. The bodyguard immediately ran onto the boat.

"Please take good care of Miss Lu." Jiang Bei said, gently pulling Lu Wei to the side, intending to have the bodyguard take her away.

"I don't want to, I want to watch from here," Lu Wei said stubbornly. "Please, I must watch her die with my own eyes."

Jiang Bei pursed his lips, looked at Lu Wei's resolute eyes, and finally nodded, "Then you stay here and don't come over."

After saying that, Jiang Bei quickly went into the cockpit, steered the boat out, and then pulled the barely alive Xiao Wanqing down a bit, dragging a huge iron barrel from the corner of the boat. Because the barrel was so heavy, he struggled to move it.

Seeing this, the bodyguard was about to step forward to help, but Lu Wei stopped him and whispered, "I'll go."

When Jiang Bei saw Lu Wei coming over again, he was about to refuse when he saw Lu Wei's red and swollen eyes. He couldn't bear it and swallowed back what he wanted to say.

Xiao Wanqing opened her eyes and, with her last bit of strength, said, "You are all so heartless. I'm about to die, and you still won't let me go."

"Have you ever thought about letting my brother go?" Lu Wei clenched her fists. She looked at the knife on the ground and wanted to rush over to pick it up and finish him off.

"We can't finish her off; one more blow and she'll be dead for good." Jiang Bei frowned.

Upon hearing this, Lu Wei immediately abandoned the idea. She had to leave Xiao Wanqing alive so that her death would be more painful.

Lu Wei remained silent as she helped Jiang Bei tie Xiao Wanqing to the iron barrel. She tried several times, and only stopped when she was certain that Xiao Wanqing was doomed.

Xiao Wanqing looked down at the ropes binding her, smiled bitterly, and murmured, "I never thought that someone as smart as me would die here."

Lu Wei stood there, wanting to help Jiang Bei throw Xiao Wanqing into the sea.

Jiang Bei gave the bodyguard a wink, and the bodyguard quickly stepped forward and grabbed Lu Wei.

The next second, Jiang Bei pushed the iron bucket directly into the sea.
