Aunt Wang felt like she had a dream, a very chaotic dream. When she woke up, she found herself lying in bed.
She paused for a moment, then there was a knock on the door.
Looking back, the butler walked in carrying a tray with a bowl of porridge inside.
"You're awake." The butler's face lit up with joy.
"How did I fall asleep?" Aunt Wang asked.
"Take a look at yourself first," the butler said, putting down the tray.
Aunt Wang took a look and said, "Hey, I feel much better."
My stomach doesn't hurt anymore.
My legs and feet have regained their strength.
The butler smiled and said, "Well, Dr. Hua's medical skills are undeniable, aren't they?"
Aunt Wang forced a smile. "I just asked you, how come I fell asleep?"
The butler replied, "You were already sickly and weak. Dr. Hua just gave you two acupuncture treatments, and you fell asleep."
Aunt Wang tried to recall the events before she fell asleep, but her mind was a complete blank, and she couldn't remember anything clearly.
"Did you watch her give me the acupuncture?" she asked.
“Yes.” The butler nodded.
"She only got acupuncture, nothing else?" she continued.
"What else can she do?" The butler looked puzzled by her question. "You're really something. Dr. Hua treated you, so why are you being so suspicious?"
"I was just curious. Can an illness really be cured without medicine or injections?" Aunt Wang made up an excuse and didn't ask any more questions.
If too many questions were asked, and the butler relayed the message to Huo Beichen, things would become very bad.
As night fell, Sun Xiaowei returned.
“Huo Beichen accompanied me to see my grandma today,” she said to Aunt Wang. “Grandma asked to come here for a visit, and he agreed.”
Aunt Wang's face lit up with joy: "When are you coming?"
“The day after tomorrow.” Sun Xiaowei’s eyes gleamed. “A lot of people will be coming to my house then. It will be the best time to make a move.”
“I will prepare everything,” Aunt Wang nodded.
She never dreamed that Hua Fei had discovered her and Sun Xiaowei's plans.
“Sun Xiaowei is from a prestigious family, a young lady from a prominent family, yet she still has to use her pregnancy to climb the social ladder.” A-Yue’s eyes were filled with deep disappointment.
She genuinely believed that she could learn some secret methods for manipulating men from Sun Xiaowei.
At this moment, while Zeze was asleep, Huafei and Ayue sat on the grass outside the window, whispering their plans.
“It’s still different,” Hua Fei said, a strange look appearing in her eyes. “Not every woman can use her pregnancy to rise to a higher position.”
A-Yue chuckled: "Of course, I don't think Sun Xiaowei can do it. Her plan is destined to be used by us."
Hua Fei remained silent; she was uncertain.
"Don't worry," A-Yue comforted her, "If you act decisively and get this done sooner, you can leave with Zeze."
Huafei nodded.
Early that morning, the housekeeper and the household workers got to work.
Worried about not having enough manpower, they even hired four or five helpers from outside.
"Butler, what's the occasion today?" Hua Fei asked the butler casually while pouring water.
“Miss Sun’s grandmother is coming, along with some of her cousins,” the butler said. “There will be quite a few people, so we’ll have to clear out the entire dining room and make a buffet.”
"There are so many people," she casually remarked. "Miss Sun's grandmother is here too. Are she and Mr. Huo getting married soon?"
The butler chuckled: "I don't know about that."
"Is there anything you don't understand?" Aunt Wang suddenly came over. "Mr. Huo and my young lady are already engaged. Getting married is just a matter of time."
"Yes, yes," the butler nodded repeatedly.
Hua Fei rolled her eyes and said, "It's bound to happen sooner or later, but there's a difference between sooner and later. How long have Mr. Huo and your young lady been engaged? Anyway, it's not going to happen anytime soon."
Aunt Wang's face darkened.
A mocking smile appeared on Hua Fei's lips.
“What you all say makes sense,” the butler quickly tried to smooth things over. “We’re just workers; we should just do what the boss tells us to do.”
Aunt Wang left with a sullen face.
Not long after Hua Fei returned to the treatment room, Sun Xiaowei came over, pulling Huo Beichen along with her.
"Brother Beichen, look, Zeze looks much better today." She pulled Huo Beichen straight to the bedside, ignoring Hua Fei.
Zeze is sleeping now, and his complexion has indeed improved a lot. He no longer needs an oxygen machine.
“Brother Beichen,” Sun Xiaowei continued, “There are a lot of people coming to my house today, so it must be very noisy. Why don’t we send Zeze to a sanatorium for a few days?”
Hua Fei and A Yue exchanged a glance.
A-Yue immediately retorted, "No way! Zeze needs to rest in bed. If we keep moving him around, who will be responsible if something goes wrong?"
Sun Xiaowei was annoyed. How dare a mere medical assistant talk back to her!
"Brother Beichen, do you think what I said makes sense?" Sun Xiaowei asked, her face already turning cold.
“That makes sense, absolutely right,” Hua Fei quickly chimed in. “I’ll take Zeze to the sanatorium, and I guarantee there won’t be any problems.”
Without waiting for Huo Beichen's reply, she called out, "A-Yue, get ready, we're leaving right away."
"Yes!" A-Yue replied.
Sun Xiaowei raised her chin, turned her head and left.
Huo Beichen didn't move, his gaze probing as he looked at Hua Fei.
Hua Fei glanced at him and said, "Mr. Huo, if you have nothing to do, come and lend a hand."
“Your son is a patient now, so it’s not easy for him to go out.”
Huo Beichen stepped forward and helped put the essential items into a suitcase.
“I’ll send you two more people,” he suddenly said.
“That’s great. Ah Yue and I really can’t handle it,” Hua Fei replied. “If you don’t send anyone, I’ll hire two people from outside.”
Huo Beichen gave her a meaningful look and then remained silent.
A van carrying Hua Fei, Ze Ze, and others left the Huo family home.
Sun Xiaowei stood at the second-floor window, watching the car drive away, and breathed a sigh of relief.
"After we send her away, things will go much more smoothly today," Aunt Wang said from the side.
We also have to thank Hua Fei for making her presence known to the housekeeper early in the morning, which is why Aunt Wang thought of this detail.
Sun Xiaowei's lips curled into a smug sneer, "Send a few more people to the sanatorium to keep an eye on things, and make sure she doesn't cause any more trouble."
"Yes, Miss is very thoughtful."
The sanatorium was 20 kilometers away from the Huo family's home. By the time they were settled in, it was already 2 p.m.
A-Yue closed the door, her expression grave: "It's one thing for Huo Beichen to send two people to follow us, but there are several other people around. They must be Sun Xiaowei's men."
Hua Fei deliberately tried to gain attention from Aunt Wang and had Sun Xiaowei send her away.
That way, whatever happens to the Huo family tonight will have nothing to do with her.
Now all that's left is for her to sneak back into the Huo family.
“Aunt Hua, I’ll help you.” Zeze looked at the two of them with a determined gaze.
Hua Fei nodded, "Zeze, you did a great job!"
A-Yue took out a set of nursing home uniforms and a wig, among other disguise items, and said, "Come on, let me do your makeup."
Ah Yue is skilled at makeup and can achieve the effect of disguising herself; it's hard to tell unless you look closely.
Her skill level is no worse than some makeup bloggers on social media.
