Chapter 699 Sheng Nanyin is missing

Twenty minutes later, Hua Fei stood in front of Ze Ze again. "Ze Ze, do you still recognize me?"

Zeze shook his head and smiled, "It's fun, Aunt Yue, can you teach me?"

"I'll teach you once you're better," A-Yue readily agreed.

"Alright, ring the ambulance bell," Hua Fei said, hiding in a secluded spot in the ward.

A-Yue changed into Hua Fei's clothes, styled her hair like Hua Fei's, and wore a mask.

The emergency bell in the ward suddenly rang.

Several nurses rushed over and entered the ward.

The two assistants sent by Huo Beichen also ran in.

Zeze fainted, her body trembling uncontrollably.

The nurses were busy examining Zeze, and the ward was a bit messy.

The assistant noticed that Hua Fei was always helping out among the nurses, but didn't think much of it.

They didn't even notice that there was one more nurse than expected.

"Take the patient to the emergency room!" a nurse suddenly said.

So everyone helped push Zeze out of the ward.

A nurse's pace gradually slowed down, growing further and further away from them, until finally she vanished into the stairwell.

Zeze was taken into the emergency room.

The two assistants were kept outside the emergency room door.

"Where is Dr. Hua?" An assistant asked, noticing that Hua Fei was nowhere to be seen.

“I just went in with him.” Another assistant glanced into the emergency room. “Dr. Hua is the young master’s attending physician. Going in with him will be helpful.”

They had no idea that the real Huafei had already gotten into a taxi and left.

As evening approached, the Huo family became even busier.

Our distinguished guests have all arrived.

However, the number of people who came far exceeded the housekeeper's expectations.

He had no choice but to contact the labor service company again and have them send a dozen or so temporary service workers over.

At this moment, the minibus had stopped outside the Huo family's gate, and the butler was welcoming the dozen or so waiters off the bus.

The staff includes both men and women, and their resumes have been vetted by a labor agency, so there are no issues with their safety or health.

The housekeeper had them line up and scanned each one with his eyes. "The nanny will explain the specific tasks to you later. Just do your job well."

"Understood," the group replied.

The butler then led them through the gate, and after a few steps, he couldn't help but look back.

He felt there was someone in there who looked familiar, but upon closer inspection, he couldn't recognize the face at all.

Seeing the butler turn around again, Hua Fei subtly moved her body further inside.

She got in by mixing in with this group of waiters.

Fortunately, the Huo family had many guests, so once inside, she was able to blend into the crowd and not attract much attention.

There is a terrace outside the kitchen that connects to the back garden.

Tonight's drinks and snacks will be prepared by the chef on the terrace.

Hua Fei, along with nine other waiters, was assigned to serve drinks.

Huafei carried the tray into the venue.

The guests were busy chatting and dancing, while others gathered around Huo Beichen and Sun Xiaowei, laughing and talking.

No one noticed her; she was just one of the many waitresses.

Hua Fei breathed a sigh of relief, secretly keeping an eye on Huo Beichen's movements.

After hypnotizing Aunt Wang, she extracted Sun Xiaowei's plan.

Tonight, Sun Xiaowei will put something in Huo Beichen's drink to liven things up.

She never expected that Sun Xiaowei would resort to such underhanded tactics against Huo Beichen.

Wasn't it Huo Beichen who proposed to Sun Xiaowei back then?

All I can say is that Huo Beichen is a ruthless man whose heart is unfathomable!

"Waiter!" Suddenly, a voice sounded behind her, "Bring the wine tray over."

It's Aunt Wang!

Hua Fei composed herself and walked over calmly.

Aunt Wang took the entire tray from her hand and turned to leave, completely unaware of the "waiter's" unusual behavior.

Before long, Aunt Wang reappeared next to another waiter and handed the tray of wine to him.

The waiter, unsuspecting, assumed it was a task assigned to him and immediately and steadily caught the tray.

"Go check on Mr. Huo and make sure he's well taken care of," Aunt Wang instructed.

The waiter went over immediately.

Huo Beichen took a glass of wine from the waiter's tray and drank it while talking.

About half an hour later, Huo Beichen began to unbutton the top button of his shirt and loosen his tie, seemingly having some difficulty breathing.

Not long after, he felt increasingly unwell and turned to go upstairs.

"That's enough," Aunt Wang whispered to Sun Xiaowei.

They were chatting and laughing with the women of the Sun family, keeping a distance from Huo Beichen.

Sun Xiaowei calmly greeted her relatives and quietly left.

She walked up to the second floor, a smug smile already playing on her lips.

Aunt Wang said she wanted to win this time, so she used the best equipment, and it couldn't be stopped before dawn.

She brought so many relatives along to provide a witness, so that Huo Beichen wouldn't be able to deny it even if he wanted to.

She was only a few steps away from Huo Beichen's room.

Suddenly, she sensed someone behind her.

"Who?" She turned around immediately, but only had time to see a figure before she was hit hard on the back of the head, and her vision went black and she lost consciousness.

Inside the room.

Huo Beichen felt the temperature rising and his head becoming increasingly dizzy.

He was weak in all four limbs and could only lie half-reclined on the recliner. The only saving grace was that he had sensed something was wrong and hadn't made a fool of himself in front of the guests.

"Brother Beichen?" At that moment, a voice called out to him.

This name is Sun Xiaowei.

The sound was a bit muffled, which he attributed to his dizziness.

As the figure drew closer, a strong scent of perfume filled the air; it was indeed Sun Xiaowei's perfume.

Tonight, Sun Xiaowei introduced him to many of her relatives, and he smelled the perfume for half the night.

“I’m fine,” he said, rubbing his forehead. “You don’t need to worry about me, go out.”

However, a glass of water was brought to his lips.

He was indeed very thirsty, and he felt much better after drinking the water.

“Brother Beichen,” Sun Xiaowei spoke again, “do you know that Sheng Nanyin has disappeared?”

Sheng Nanyin?!

Huo Beichen's heart skipped a beat.

“Someone told me that Sheng Nanyin was no longer in that place two and a half years ago.”

"But there's someone using Sheng Nanyin's name who's been operating in that area, so it's been kept secret until now."

"Brother Beichen, haven't you received any news at all?"

Huo Beichen tightened his grip on his forehead, as if the pain had intensified. "Sheng Nanyin... is she still alive?" he asked with difficulty.

"Why isn't she alive?" Sun Xiaowei asked in surprise. "Did you send someone to do something?"

"Brother Beichen, did you really send someone to do something?"

Huo Beichen chuckled but did not reply.

“If you really did something, tell me,” Sun Xiaowei continued, “so that I know what happened and can handle the aftermath properly.”

"If this matter is brought up again, it will have a negative impact on you and the Sun family."

"What do you want to know?" Huo Beichen asked, head bowed.

What did you do to Sheng Nanyin?

Who else was with her at the time?

Where did those people go?

As she spoke, "Sun Xiaowei" clenched her fist.

She wasn't Sun Xiaowei; it was Hua Fei disguised as Sun Xiaowei by wearing her clothes.

As for the voice, Huo Beichen was too dizzy and couldn't make it out.
