This Huafei can't be allowed to live!
The driver knew what she was going to say and immediately raised his hand to stop her from speaking. "Miss, it's not convenient to talk here. I understand what you mean. I'll go check on her first."
Jiang Xiaowei calmed down a bit and nodded.
In the examination room, Zeze sat on the sofa, looking quite well.
It was completely different from how she looked when she first fell ill.
"Did I act convincingly just now?" Zeze whispered to Hua Fei.
Hua Fei gave him a thumbs up and lowered her voice as she spoke: "Fantastic! You'll definitely win an Oscar if you become an actor in the future."
Zeze beamed with joy when praised.
"Was the person who scared me that night really Jiang Xiaowei?" Turning her head, Zeze was still concerned about serious matters.
"That's a question for you to answer, to see when you can remember it," Hua Fei replied.
Zeze tried to recall, but still couldn't remember. "Strange, it's like that face has disappeared from my memory, like a page of a martial arts manual has been taken away."
Hua Fei's face immediately hardened: "Zeze, are you playing mobile games?"
Unless someone has played mobile games, how could Zeze, at his age, utter the words "martial arts manual"?
Zeze paused for a moment, then suddenly said, "Dr. Hua, the way you looked just now reminded me of my mother."
Hua Fei was also stunned, and her face turned even more unpleasant: "Don't talk nonsense, I've never been married."
Zeze smiled apologetically, then lowered her head dejectedly. "I was just saying. How could you be my mom? You don't even look like my mom... My mom has been gone for a long time and never comes back to see me."
Hua Fei asked, "Do you feel like your mom doesn't want you anymore?"
Zeze shook her head: "Even if she doesn't want me, she must have her reasons. I'm afraid she'll encounter danger outside."
“She ran so far away all by herself, and no one protected her…” he said, clenching his fists in anger. “I hate my dad, why didn’t he protect her…”
He couldn't help but shed tears, feeling both sad and angry; the torment of this inner conflict made his eyes involuntarily red.
Hua Fei sighed softly and gently stroked the top of his head. "The things between adults are very complicated. If you really care about your mother, then you need to take good care of yourself."
"You're so sensible, I believe in you. Mom will come back to find you someday."
Zeze looked up at Huafei for a while, then lowered his head, his emotions gradually calming down.
Hua Fei then told him about Jiang Xiaowei: "I think that vase is very problematic, which is why I asked you to smash it."
Zeze nodded, "I know, that figure that night was hiding behind the vase!"
It didn't appear out of nowhere.
Hua Fei nodded approvingly; Zeze possessed intelligence beyond his years.
"If Jiang Xiaowei really was trying to scare me, why would she do that?" Zeze had another question.
Hua Fei gave another thumbs up. "That's a good question. I'll ask you, after Jiang Xiaowei marries your father, will she have children?"
Zeze nodded immediately, "She will definitely have the baby. She's told my dad about it several times, and I've heard it all."
"However, she always says she wants to have a daughter."
Hua Fei sneered: "Saying she'd have a daughter is just to lower your father's guard and make him think she won't want to have a son to compete with you for the inheritance."
"They say the sweetest things, but do the most vicious things behind your back, trying to scare you so badly that you end up in the hospital."
"As for what kind of life you'll have in the hospital, that's entirely up to her."
“You will die too. You may survive by chance, but it will be impossible for you to fight her children for the inheritance when you grow up.”
Although these words terrified Zeze, he believed them completely.
His past experience with kidnapping gave him a different understanding of human evil than his peers.
Hua Fei continued, "What she didn't expect was that you were only half-terrified, and that you only had occasional episodes, but were otherwise normal."
"Moreover, your father disagreed with sending you to any hospital for treatment, insisting on having a doctor come to our home and having the family nanny take care of you."
"You could say that her plan only succeeded in a small part."
Zeze thought for a moment, "My dad is pretty good to me."
Hua Fei glanced at him, her expression complex. But in the end, she said nothing more.
Let the boy admire and be close to his father; she'll consider it a good deed.
“But we have no evidence,” Zeze spread her little hands. “No one will believe what we’re saying. My dad won’t believe it either.”
“Don’t rush,” Hua Fei comforted him. “Trust is not built overnight, and it also takes time to destroy it.”
Zeze nodded: "I'll listen to you from now on."
Hua Fei smiled: "So what's the first thing you want to do?"
"Pretending to be sick."
The two looked at each other and smiled.
The two chatted for a while longer, and seeing that it was almost time, otherwise Huo Beichen, who was waiting outside, probably wouldn't have been able to resist the urge to bang on the door.
Hua Fei stepped forward and opened the door. Huo Beichen's sharp gaze immediately swept over her. "I hope you've cured Zeze," he said, suppressing his anger, and strode into the treatment room.
Zeze lay on the treatment bed, with several silver needles still in her body, looking weak and listless.
"Zeze!" Huo Beichen put his arms around his shoulders, feeling both heartache and affection.
Hua Fei stood not far away, watching coldly, completely unmoved.
“Dad,” Zeze said weakly, “Jiang Xiaowei is the face I saw that night.”
Huo Beichen was slightly taken aback. After a moment, he smiled slightly at Zeze and said, "Good child, you are tired. Rest more first, and we can talk about other things later."
He turned to Hua Fei and asked, "When will the silver needles be removed from his body?"
Hua Fei stepped forward and removed the silver needles from Ze Ze's body one by one.
Huo Beichen carefully picked him up, preparing to leave.
"Mr. Huo, you're not just going to brush Zeze off with that, are you?" Hua Fei asked his retreating figure.
Huo Beichen stopped and turned around, his hawk-like eyes fixed on Hua Fei: "Dr. Hua, if you interfere in my family affairs again, I can't let you live."
Hua Fei said nonchalantly, "Settle the bill, and I can leave anytime."
"Cough, cough, cough, cough!" Zeze suddenly coughed violently, and her little body trembled violently, as if a whip was lashing Huo Beichen.
His face turned pale, realizing he had boasted.
At this stage, there was no way he would let Huafei leave.
"Don't talk about this in front of the child." He backed down and left with Zeze first.
About an hour later, he returned to the examination room.
Hua Fei was wiping each silver needle with ease; the needles in her hands were both powerful and dangerous, capable of healing and harming.
Hearing his footsteps, she didn't turn around. Instead, she raised a silver needle in her hand and sneered, "Mr. Huo, do you believe that if I stick this needle in, Miss Jiang will reveal many secrets?"
Huo Beichen's heart skipped a beat. "Who exactly are you?"
"Me?" she said casually. "I'm a doctor, a doctor with pretty good skills."
"Why are you so fixated on my private affairs?" Huo Beichen questioned.
Huafei chuckled, "Guess!"
