Chapter 22 A Mysterious Long Dream

"This old servant thanks the Third Young Master." The old steward smiled contentedly, his face so wrinkled it looked like a chrysanthemum.

"Since there's nothing else, I'll be leaving now. No need to see me off." He seemed relieved, as if he had finally shaken off something.

"Alright. Take care, Third Young Master." After seeing them off at the gate, the steward watched the master and servant walk further and further away until their figures finally blurred in the darkness before turning back.

Feng Qingge hasn't returned for a day, but Feng Cang isn't worried and hasn't sent anyone to the Regent's Palace to inquire about her. It seems he trusts Mo Linyuan.

The two walked down the street, occasionally passing by each other.

The bright moon hung high in the sky, no longer obscured by the clouds, but revealing its true face, illuminating the streets as if it were daytime.

After returning to the Prime Minister's residence, the master and servant went back to their courtyard. Feng Qingge washed up and went straight to sleep, while Qi Quan went to the main hall to greet Feng Cang, telling him that the young master had returned and that he didn't need to worry.

That night, Feng Qingge slept soundly and even had a dream. She was still amazed when she woke up the next morning.

You should know that ever since she inexplicably came into this world and became a baby, she has never dreamed in the past twenty years.

However, last night she had a very long dream. In the dream, she seemed to have returned to the world she had always wanted to go back to, with its tall buildings and bustling traffic.

However, even though she was there, she felt like an outsider, watching everything slip away before her eyes, unable to grasp anything.

"Young master? Young master? What's wrong, young master?"

Suddenly, just as she was lost in yesterday's dream, a noisy noise suddenly broke out in her ears, pulling her thoughts back to reality.

"What's wrong?" Feng Qingge was a little confused, only noticing that Qi Quan looked anxious and didn't understand why he was so anxious.

"Young Master, are you alright?" Qi Quan's eyes were filled with undisguised worry. After he had prepared water for the young master to wash up, he saw him sitting blankly on the edge of the bed, motionless, as if he had been acupunctured.

"It's nothing." Feng Qingge lowered her eyes, her long, thick eyelashes concealing the emotions in them, remaining expressionless.

Unexpectedly, it was just a dream, yet it caused her such emotional turmoil.

It seems that she ultimately couldn't let go of that world; otherwise, she wouldn't always be thinking about going back.

"Oh, then young master, please wash up quickly. You still need to make perfume powder today." These past two days have been busy with the ghost-catching at the Regent's residence, so much so that you haven't made a single box of perfume powder.

"Okay, go prepare breakfast." Feng Qingge took the towel and began to wash up.

Qi Quan nodded and then left. As long as the young master was alright, he was fine. He immediately put the incident behind him.

Inside the flower hall, the meal was laid out perfectly: two small dishes and a bowl of chicken porridge.

This is Feng Qingge's favorite breakfast. She doesn't like greasy food and prefers light meals, but she also loves meat.

Once the meal was laid out, Feng Qingge slowly arrived. Her steps were light, but upon closer inspection, she appeared somewhat languid.

Unlike his usual charismatic self, he was mostly lethargic and tired today.

With all the necessary services, Feng Qingge finished her breakfast and went to her usual room, where she usually made her perfume powder.

However, Qi Quan was indeed busy tidying up the desk before he went to help.

That day, the two only left the secluded room to eat; otherwise, they spent the rest of their time inside.

By the afternoon of the following day, the two had finally made a considerable amount of incense powder and were no longer engrossed in their work in the room.
