Chapter 106 - 105: Tell Me If You Have Any Difficulties _1

Once the meal was finished, people exchanged a few pleasantries and went their separate ways. Zuo Fugui and Song Yue bid farewell to the couple and continued their trip to Chang Ming University to find Song Zhan.

Females’ dormitory rules were stricter, not allowing men to enter. Males’ dormitory was more lax, so the two men headed straight to Song Zhan’s dormitory and knocked on the door.

"Who’s there?"

The knock drew Song Zhan’s attention, he had recently woken up, taken a bath, and changed into clean clothes. He was wearing a white towel around his neck, occasionally using it to dry his damp hair. He went to open the door, wearing deep blue slippers.

Standing outside were his own elder brother and Zuo Fugui, who had traveled far.

"Why are you here?" After opening the door, Song Zhan walked back into his room, occasionally running his hand through his hair.

"Just checking to see what you’ve been up to lately."

The two men made themselves comfortable on the bed inside the dormitory, said Song Yue.

Song Zhan, busy launching his startup these days, didn’t spend much time in his dormitory. His side of the two-person room was bare, overly minimalist. The desk next to it was a mess, a blue folder full of papers neatly stacked, various sizes of papers spread on the table, a silver laptop still lit with multiple word documents, excel files, and webpages open.

He does seem to take his work pretty seriously.

"Busy with my startup."

To avoid dampening the documents with his wet hair, Song Zhan pulled the chair slightly to the side and sat down.

With his eyes showing a bit of bloodshot and dark circles from staying up several days in a row, he appeared gaunt.

Seeing his condition, Song Yue felt a tightness in his heart. He understood the hardships of starting a business, especially given the three setbacks Song Zhan had already faced, criticism from the industry and personal insecurity all came one after another.

Sigh.

Why did this young kid insist on starting a business? Couldn’t he just live off his parents?

"Hmm,"

"If you run into any difficulties, just tell me. I can help you out." Thankfully, he only had one such younger brother.

He couldn’t always rely on his brother’s wife to foot the bill.

What if they lost money...

Song Yue considered the worst-case scenario.

That would spell the end of his brother’s leisurely days.

He’d have to return to his old job to support his wife.

"That’s right, if you don’t have your brother, you have me. I support you." Zuo Fugui confidently thumped his chest, "I’ll invest."

"No."

Song Zhan refused immediately, thinking it would just mean another hands-off boss.

"It will make no difference whether you’re involved or not."

"What?"

...

Meanwhile, after Zuo Fugui and Song Yue left, Lu Nanchen tidied up the dining table by himself, sticking to his usual routine, nothing different.

Yu Ting watched him clean up the plates and cutlery, then head to the kitchen to get a cloth to wipe the table. Her eyes never left him, she was close to boring a hole through him.

She seemed to have been bitten by a dog last night.

"Lu Nanchen." Yu Ting called his name.

Lu Nanchen immediately stopped his motion, his dark eyes looked at her, make-up free as she was, less arrogant, more serene and homely. Her lips were light pink without lipstick, "What’s up?"

Still as straight-laced as ever.

Frustrated, Yu Ting stood up, waved her hand, and left wearing her clothes.

Her departure was swift and decisive, leaving a faint smell of alcohol in the air.

"Nothing, I’m going back to school."
