The two of them then spent five minutes discussing the issue of the surveillance video in another lounge. Yu Ting successfully persuaded Director Sun Lei to cleanly cut the part of the surveillance video from that afternoon.
When they finished and came out, more than ten minutes had passed, and Wei Qinghe was waiting not far from the door. He was still in the same clothes, which he had smoothed with his hands. He looked a bit uneasy upon seeing Yu Ting.
He’d thought about being terminated, about scandalous secrets being revealed online and becoming a victim of cyber violence.

He didn’t quite know how to react.
Yu Ting, having taken care of everything, came out feeling relaxed. Seeing Wei Qinghe’s discomfort, she simply shrugged it off.
"It’s okay."
"Oh, thank you."
Wei Qinghe stood in front of Yu Ting and bowed politely.
Even though it was almost November, a long-lost warmth filled his heart.
"It’s okay."
"Just focus on shooting your film. Something like this won’t happen again."
With an unperturbed expression, Yu Ting briefly reassured Wei Qinghe. After arriving in B City, feeling uncertain, Yu Ting checked out the film set with her assistant before anything else. The task of finding a hotel and handling the luggage was left to Lu Nanchen. By the time they were done, it was getting late, so she parted with her assistant. Wearing a white polo sweater, she rolled up her sleeves and left.
Once she left Hengdian and got in the car, Yu Ting finally had a moment to check her phone. The most recent messages on her main screen were from Lu Nanchen.

He then sent a link to the hotel and room number 704.

Yu Ting read these messages carefully and replied. She then showed her assistant the location; the hotel Lu Nanchen had chosen was quite far from Director Sun Lei’s crew. The two of them only arrived at their destination hotel twenty minutes later.
After parting ways with her assistant, Yu Ting headed straight to room 704.
She rang the doorbell and, after a minute or two, the door was opened.
Lu Nanchen, sharply dressed, appeared in her line of sight. He had removed his overcoat, revealing a black and white shirt underneath, which was covered with a black knitted sweater.
After opening the door for Yu Ting, Lu Nanchen went back into the room and took a seat.
This time, he brought a few books with him, one teaching guide and two others randomly chosen from the pile Zuo Fugui had given him. They were now all laid out on the table.
As Yu Ting walked in and passed through the narrow corridor, her field of view widened. It was quite a large room with an adjoining office lounge, and both of their suitcases had been arranged by Lu Nanchen.
The room was spacious, and so was the bed.
A large double room.
After a busy day, Yu Ting was utterly exhausted. She collapsed onto the bed, with her bag falling next to her.
She took a deep breath.
"Did something else come up this afternoon?" Lu Nanchen stood from his chair near the table and slowly approached the bed. He then bent down to pick up Yu Ting’s bag and carefully placed it on the bedside table.
"Yes. Sooner or later, I’m going to snap at that old woman with money."
Yu Ting said with a touch of anger. Irritated.
Because of that Shen Ruchu, she’d been kept busy for several days without any rest.
"Don’t work too hard. You have me."

By eight in the evening, the two went to the second floor of the hotel for dinner. Lu Nanchen stated that dinner should be before nine, otherwise the food wouldn’t be fully digested, which could hurt the stomach.
