After finishing dinner, the two returned to their hotel. Yu Ting, tired from a day of traveling, decided to take a bath first, hoping a warm soak could alleviate her fatigue.
She took a set of pure cotton pajamas and clean underwear from their suitcase in the lounge and told Lu Nanchen she was going to the bathroom.
"I’ll bathe first."
After her previous experience of wearing a black slip dress without much reaction from him, Yu Ting had no great expectations from Lu Nachen at this point. She decided to relieve her fatigue with a bath before considering anything else.
Lu Nanchen sat at the table, his gaze deepening as he watched Yu Ting carrying her pinkish-white clothes past him. His grip tightened on the teaching plan in his hand.
The sound of flowing water soon echoed from the bathroom.
Even though the hotel bathroom was not fully see-through, its curtain cast a clear silhouette; a sight that Lu Nanchen could catch from the corner of his eyes while seated.
His grip on the teaching plan tightened.
A couple of minutes later, Lu Nanchen replaced his teaching plan with a romance novel. Upon seeing the books he had picked, Lu Nanchen: ...

He couldn’t go through more than a few pages of the first book and decided to put it back, covering it with the teaching plan.
After all, what else could he do during a long night?

After her bath, Yu Ting felt entirely relaxed. The heat had turned her face a rosy pink and her short hair, now dried to a semi-damp state, clung to her neck. Her proper pajama set did not reveal much; the sleeves went up to her wrists, the trouser legs reached her ankles, and the buttons were done up to her collarbone.
Lu Nanchen thought her previous nightgown looked better.
"What’s wrong?"
"Nothing, I’m going to take a shower."
Just as Yu Ting emerged, Lu Nanchen uttered those words, grabbed his clothes, and went in to shower.
Almost immediately, the sound of water could be heard again. Lu Nanchen lay on his back under the showerhead, letting the water run down from his Adam’s apple to his collarbone, then onto his waist, lower abdomen, and thighs, before reaching his ankle, showing off his excellent physique.
After her shower, Yu Ting went to do some skincare before getting into bed. On her way, she curiously glanced at Lu Nanchen’s desk.
Judging by the book he is reading... "One Kiss Settled: Ye Shao’s Thirty-Six Strategies for Pampering His Wife?"
Huh?

Yu Ting, who was drying her hair, stopped in shock.
She was indeed, completely taken aback.
Just as she was debating whether to sneak a peek at the contents, suddenly, the sound of water ceased from inside the bathroom.
A few minutes later, she looked up to see the bathroom door opening, and out walked Lu Nanchen in his nightgown. Perhaps he felt restrained; this time, he had not buttoned the top button on his nightgown, revealing a delicate, pale neck and handsome collarbone.
