All the annoyance and calculation were theirs, but now Lu Nanchen’s house was filled with a sense of warmth.
Under the influence of alcohol and Lu Nanchen’s insistence, Yu Ting had fallen asleep until late afternoon. When she woke up, her body was sore, as if it had been run over by a carriage, especially the area below.
Yu Ting sat up and found that Lu Nanchen was sitting beside her reading a book. He was back to his usual aloof image.
A completely different man than when he was in bed.
There was a new set of women’s clothes on the side of the bed.
"Awake?" Seeing Yu Ting awake, Lu Nanchen put his book aside and turned up the heat a few degrees.
"Hmm." Yu Ting responded coldly, which made Lu Nanchen somewhat helpless.
Thinking about her aching body, Yu Ting griped at Lu Nanchen before getting dressed.
"Hmm? Are you mad at me?" Lu Nanchen looked at the woman whose responses were extremely brief, and asked with a raised eyebrow. Thinking of the woman who was repeatedly saying "no" in the middle of the night, he admitted, "Hmm... I was a bit too eager for our first time, it won’t happen again."
When Yu Ting finished dressing and was preparing to get off the bed, her legs felt weak.
She gritted her teeth in pain.
Lu Nanchen walked over and suddenly lifted Yu Ting into his arms.

"Serving you dinner."

Yu Ting looked at the gleeful perpetrator and bit Lu Nanchen’s neck in anger.
"Haven’t you bitten enough last night?" Lu Nanchen had guessed that Yu Ting would vent her feelings this way, and he let her bite him. He then directly carried her to the dining table.
"I haven’t bitten enough."
After saying this, she felt Lu Nanchen place her on a chair without changing their position.
"Then bite some more."
Lu Nanchen said solemnly. He didn’t think there was anything wrong with it.
As long as she was happy, it was fine.
Looking at the man in front of her, who was maintaining the same pose without moving and not joking at all, Yu Ting had a thought.
After a long while, she patted him gently, "That’s enough, move away, I’m eating."

This year, she would be spending New Year at Lu Nanchen’s house.
Her movements and demeanor instantly became serious.
She had never been to her husband’s house for New Year’s in either of her two lives.
"What are you thinking, when do you want to go home with me?"
Lu Nanchen brought the bowl of rice in front of Yu Ting, "Hmm?"
Yu Ting was silent. The scenes from family melodramas she used to watch with her mother in her previous life came to mind.

Running these scenarios in her head, Yu Ting found herself at loss.
"Don’t be nervous," Lu Nanchen said with a faint smile, probably knowing what Yu Ting was worried about, "Don’t worry, my family is very easy to get along with." Except for the odd one or two.
He didn’t say the last part out loud, but he figured a couple of quirky individuals wouldn’t be a problem.
Sitting next to Yu Ting, his chin was buried in his turtleneck sweater because of his lowered head.
From Yu Ting’s angle, she had a clear view of Lu Nanchen’s eyelashes.
But she wasn’t in the mood to appreciate them at the moment, her mind racing.
"I need to prepare well."
Yu Ting was eating peacefully when suddenly her phone rang.
It was a call from Song Zhan.
Even though Song Zhan was also on vacation with the company staff, he was still dealing with some company matters at home, just like a regular work day.
"Hello? What’s up?" Yu Ting, slowed her eating, to ask.
"A brand called to ask if I wanted to go to an auction with you." While talking on the phone with the help of his shoulder and ear, Song Zhan’s free hands were busy on the desk, "I might not be able to make it, do you want to go?"
Even though VG was not very influential at the moment, they were really spending money. Yu Ting was known for being extravagant.
Maybe her presence there could make more money.
"I’ll go." Yu Ting agreed readily, thinking that it was a good chance to see if the auction had something suitable for the elders.
"Lu Nanchen and I will go together, and let him help me with some advice."
Advice on what his parents might like.
"Okay, I will let them know. If I finish my work later, I might go and have a look too."
The two quickly finalized their plans. Lu Nanchen sitting next to Yu Ting was picking the bones out of her fish, his fingers like jade overlaid on the chopsticks.
"Actually, you can just buy something at the supermarket, my parents don’t pay much attention to these things."
Lu Nanchen’s usual deep and rich voice conveyed, as he was selecting the fishbones for Yu Ting earnestly with his head lowered.
