The old drunkard’s interest clearly lay not in the wine.
Yu Ting held her phone in her hand, a grin teasing the corners of her lips, but she ignored it, stowing it away once again. She continued pushing her suitcase forward.
She decided not to delete the message for the time being, not until she had taken back her money.
Despite spending a fortune on tutoring since she was young, she could never have passed the entrance exam for Chang Ming University - a well regarded university in the country - on her own. After failing to get a good result in her first year, she took a year to retake the exam which she finally passed.
We would have nothing, everything were bought by my mother’s money.
Chang Ming University occupies a vast area of 1.9 million square meters with a considerable distance from the entrance to the dormitory. It takes about half an hour to walk from the gate to the dormitory. Many passersby stared curiously at Yu Ting, whispering amongst themselves.
Having grown accustomed to such stares, Yu Ting didn’t care, her gaze fixed straight ahead.
Besides a few teaching buildings, the university was filled with dormitory complexes, each occupied by different faculties. The dormitory rooms were for two people each, with a private bathroom and balcony.
Using the school’s map, Yu Ting made her way to the dormitory building for her major, carrying her suitcase up to the sixth floor. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Upon finding the original room 628, Yu Ting took out her campus card from her bag, swiped it and entered.
Standing at the door and surveying her surroundings, Yu Ting couldn’t help but marvel, a good university really is different.
The dormitory was about sixty to seventy square meters in size. The bathroom was on the left as soon as she entered, and a balcony facing the sun outside provided plenty of light.
Two beds were set up inside, with a short white cabinet separating them.
Clearly, the bed on the left, adorned with Hello Kitty, was hers, given its unkept state in comparison to the neat bed on the right.
It had the same style as her home.
Just as she expected.
With an uninspired glance towards the mess on the left, Yu Ting began to unload her prepared bedding from her suitcase and started rearranging the room.

While on the surface, the weather at Chang Ming University at the end of August was clear and sunny with the intense heat still lingering on people’s bodies, behind the scenes, the college forum was buzzing.
All discussions were hot.
What do the freshmen look like?
Who’s studying abroad again?
Whose child is a rich second-generation kid?
Which girl is suspected of being kept by a sugar daddy, and so on...
One post was being passionately discussed.
[Expose] A female student from a subordinate college is suspected of having an indecent social life, involved with several men.
The post was accompanied by several pictures, and dozens of people were discussing in the comments.
Almost everyone was echoing the criticisms.
At some point, somebody mentioned Yu Ting, which caused more comments to follow.
"I feel the post is possibly talking about Yu Ting from the second year computer science department. Isn’t she the one who pursued senior Shen Sheng a few months ago? I couldn’t bear to see the way she chased after him, all kinds of hints, always trying to attract his attention. Doesn’t she have any self-respect or dignity?"
"Exactly, her actions are always sloppy and unreliable, I really don’t know how she got into Chang Ming. Could it be she also has some connections with the school leader?"
"Hey, I seem to remember she posted a picture of another man on WeChat before chasing after Shen, then deleted it not long ago."
"Does she think she’s very attractive? She should take a look at herself in the mirror. Her false eyelashes are as long as half of my little finger, still trying to act cute at her age, talking in a high-pitched voice, it’s nauseating."
