After their kiss, Yu Ting’s freshly applied lipstick had faded quite a bit. It gave off a glossy shine, wet and glistening, making her look even more charming.
Yu Ting glanced at the traces of lipstick on Lu Nanchen’s thin lips and teased, her tone playful, "My freshly applied lipstick."
"Beautiful." Lu Nanchen chuckled deeply, his voice rich and husky, filled with mocking yet pleasing to the ears, "Tastes good too."
He found Yu Ting’s expression amusing and, holding the pull rod with one hand, he took her hand with the other. His thumb gently grazed the back of her hand, "We’ll fix it in the car."
With that, they descended the stairs and Lu Nanchen finally let go of her hand to pull the suitcase towards the car. He lifted the suitcase into the trunk and, after making sure everything was secure, he forcefully pulled down the trunk door and locked it.
Meanwhile, Yu Ting had quickly slipped into the passenger seat once they’d descended the stairway and began to touch up her lipstick from the handbag she’d brought with her.
Once Lu Nanchen joined her in the car, they slowly started their journey to Chang Ming University.
They arrived early, around nine o’clock, thereby bypassing the midday rush hour. Lu Nanchen parked the car back in the faculty dormitory. He got out and rolled up his sleeves a bit before going to the trunk to grab their luggage.
Yu Ting, on the other hand, got directly out of the car, closed the door behind her, and waited by the car for Lu Nanchen.
The man meticulously handled everything, his porcelain-white fingers resting on the black railings. With the semester yet to start formally, his casual attire made him look especially homey.
His demeanor, once cold, was now full of affection.
"Let’s go," said Lu Nanchen to Yu Ting once he had finished packing the car.
"Mm-hmm," Yu Ting replied.
The two of them confidently walked towards the women’s dormitory. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
Passersby weren’t surprised by the sight anymore. With one solid proof after another, people had stopped their initial ill will towards the couple.
Now all that was left were feelings of helplessness and envy towards this young married couple.
How wonderful, so wonderful indeed.
The envy belonged to the bystanders, and both Yu Ting and Lu Nanchen were oblivious to it. "Do you have plans this afternoon?" Yu Ting queried, her hands idly tucked into her coat pockets.
Lu Nanchen paused for a couple of minutes before looking at Yu Ting and responding, "I think so."
"Huh? The students haven’t even arrived yet, and you already have classes?" Yu Ting quickly asked, sounding quite surprised.
Lu Nanchen missed the surprise in her tone, his expression serious, "Aren’t you going back to the dorm? I’ll help out in the afternoon, see if there’s something I can assist with."
He figured more hands would make clean up quicker.
"Anything you need help with, just tell me."
Lu Nanchen’s ’business’ was to help his wife clean up.

The two of them chatted on their way and arrived at the women’s dormitory quite soon. Lu Nanchen stopped at the dormitory entrance, handed the luggage to Yu Ting, and watched her go in, just like the other boys who accompanied their partners back to their dormitory.
Once at the door of the dormitory, Yu Ting swiped her student card to unlock the door. As she walked in, she was hit by a stale smell, the room was pitch dark. She had arrived earlier than Ning Xuan.
After setting her suitcase down, Yu Ting began a simple clean-up of the room. She started by opening all the windows and doors to let in fresh air, the curtains rolled up to let in as much light as possible. The bright light revealed a faint cloud of dust in the air.
