He had the idea since the day he caught that young man. Being a teacher was, of course, relaxing, but also came with many restrictions. Now he obviously had more important things to do. She asked a crucial question.

At that time, everyone was talking about how great their own identities were, especially when they were being hit by Lu Nanchen. They talked about it the most and shouted the loudest.
"Who was that one?" Yu Ting’s eyes sparkled with anticipation. Maybe she could follow the trail and find the others one by one.
"Li Heng, the character next to the slanted jade."
Lu Nanchen answered.
Li Heng was the one who had led the group back then. He was the one who was beaten the most and suffered the most. He kept repeating his name and status over and over again, trying to get Lu Nanchen to stop beating him.
But it was to no avail. He still beat him in the end.
Upon hearing the name, Yu Ting echoed it softly and committed it to memory, and started to formulate a plan.
Shortly afterwards, her thoughts were interrupted by Lu Nanchen who held her hand, "Let’s eat first, it’s late, almost nine o’clock."

"What’s wrong, Lu?"
"Professor Xu, I’m thinking of resigning. I’ve sent the letter of resignation to your email just now."
Lu Nanchen got straight to the point, leaning against the balcony railing. The evening breeze was blowing, and he felt remarkably calm.
"Ah? Why would you want to resign all of a sudden? Have you encountered any difficulties?"
"Well... family matters. I have some personal issues that I haven’t sorted out yet. I want to get those handled before making other plans." Lu Nanchen replied softly. There was no impulsiveness in his voice, no hostility.
It was not a hasty decision, nor a whim. He had thought it through very well.
