Chapter 335 - 334: Yu Ting said, "I’m off, the gentleman is waiting for me to return."_1

"The show is scheduled for recording in the next few days, so keep an eye out. It would be best if you spend more time with the program team to familiarize yourself. It’s supposed to have ten episodes without accidents - make sure you don’t cause any."

Feeling like he had forgotten to mention something, Song Zhan scratched his head and ear for a while until he finally remembered.

He needed to remind Yu Ting about this.

Song Zhan’s words genuinely reminded Yu Ting, who had nearly forgotten about it.

With a few twirls of his eyes, Yu Ting formulated a plan and meticulously arranged his schedule.

"Alright, I got it."

When their conversation seemed sufficient, Yu Ting stood up and responded to Song Zhan, closed the final file he had dealt with, placed it aside, crossed the office desk, and patted Song Zhan’s shoulder who was sitting on the chair, "Get some rest early. It’s already past six. If there’s nothing else, I’ll clock out early."

It turns out, Yu Ting always clocks out precisely at six o’clock, just like other employees that don’t work overtime.

"Leaving already? Don’t you want to put in some extra work?" looking at the small pile of resolved issues, Song Zhan felt somewhat content. He jested, revealing his exploitative capitalist nature.

"No, I don’t."

Yu Ting answered quickly, grabbed his bag, left, and waved the thin arm facing away from Song Zhan.

"I’m leaving, sir waits for me at home."

...

Elsewhere.

VG Entertainment acted swiftly. When Song Zhan realized the cosmetics company had a similar idea, he immediately pressed forward with wave after wave of offensives and, after insisting for a few days, successfully acquired the endorsement. He signed the contract and passed it to a secondary or tertiary female artist in the company.

Soon, Southwest Entertainment received this news, each layer of the network passed it on until it reached Shen Ruchu’s ear.

The hand that was writing clamped the pen tightly, the nib left a heavy dot on the paper, almost tearing the paper.

"What did you say? VG stole the endorsement?!"

Anger, barely suppressed, echoed through her words. Shen Ruchu was both perplexed and irate.

Are all the company’s employees useless? They had been negotiating for so long but achieved nothing.

And the cosmetic company was no better. Couldn’t they see the difference between choosing VG Entertainment over Southwest Entertainment? Were the resources between the two companies even comparable?

The executive assistant standing before the office desk inadvertently retreated a couple of steps, feeling like he would be deaf before receiving a promotion if this kept up.

"Yes."

Southwest Entertainment often poached contracts from others. It was a practice they hadn’t experienced since their startup days; this was the first time in recent years.

"Call the person in charge of this project! Summon the entire team too! I want to see how useless they are! After so many days of negotiation, they even allowed VG to snatch it away."

Shen Ruchu, her eyes wide in fury, gave her commands, the vein on the back of her hand starkly visible from anger.

"Yes."

The executive assistant left to fulfill the command, feeling an immense weight lift off his shoulders as soon as he stepped out of the office. He relayed Shen Ruchu’s instructions, and in a few minutes, three or four men arrived at the rooftop office.

They entered the office nervously.

Having done his task, the executive assistant was relieved of his duties in the matter.

While lazing around in the secretary’s room, he opened Weibo on his phone and clicked on the hashtag #DidGeneralManagerYuBuyANewBuildingToHireMoreStaff#. A harmonious and orderly card-playing formation greeted him, making him feel healed. He gleefully followed suit and joined in.

Compared to the tranquility of the secretary’s room, the atmosphere inside the office was indeed terrifying.
