The three people were standing wordlessly, facing Shen Ruchu, with their heads lowered. Their hearts thumped in their chests.
"What happened?! The three of you owe me an explanation."
After two to three minutes of silence, Shen Ruchu couldn’t bear it any longer, she directly went to the heart of the matter, her eyes glaring and teeth gritted.
"The spokesperson’s side thinks that our price is too low, and you also..."
Southwest Entertainment had offered a meagre price to this beauty company, relying on its superior resources. The proposed price was even lower than the usual ones.
It was as if they were saying, ’You signing a contract with us is your good fortune. You are blessed by our light.’ The company, of course, was unwilling and faced with a high and sincere offer from VG Company, made the obvious choice and picked the latter...
The man who was leading the group struggled to continue. He had previously brought up the issue of the low offer to Shen Ruchu several times, and informed her that the spokesperson’s side was dissatisfied. But Shen Ruchu had stuck to her ways, maintaining the same price.
The three of them had persisted with the spokesperson’s side, with thick-skinned determination, with their hopes slightly kindled only after their lips were practically blistered from all the negotiations.
But they didn’t expect it to be snatched midway by VG...
"So, what happened then? The deal fell through because I didn’t raise the price? So, this is my fault?" Shen Ruchu continued, her mood extremely agitated.
It seemed that ever since she met Yu Ting, she had been consistently getting annoyed.
What a troublesome person indeed.
"No, no, it’s not your fault. It’s our incompetence that led to the failure of the contract negotiation." The team leader quickly took the blame, attributing all the faults to himself.
Shen Ruchu criticized them for a few more minutes before she finally stopped. She rubbed her temples, appearing extremely angry, "Consider this a lesson and take a half-month’s salary cut. Make sure nothing like this happens again."
One of the three people seemed to grow more and more agitated as he listened, his head hung low filled with indignation, his hands clenched into fists by his side.
Just as Shen Ruchu was about to add something after taking a brief pause, he couldn’t hold himself back, suddenly raising his head to tell her, "I quit. I don’t want to do this job anymore!"
The two colleagues beside him gasped.
The anger Shen Ruchu had just calmed surged back up, causing her to laugh in anger, "Good, very good."
"You don’t perform well at work and now you want to threaten me with resignation? Do you think that scares me?"
"Resign then. We’ll deduct the one month’s salary you had deposited as a security when you entered the company. It’s a rule stated in your employment contract. And yes, we’ll deduct your penalty of a half-month’s salary. No exceptions."
Shen Ruchu’s facial expression hardened she summoned her assistant and pointed at the man, "Take him to the finance department first to collect his half-month’s salary. Then go to the HR department to terminate his contract."
Shen Ruchu’s cruelty stunned him. In the end, he lost not only his job but also half a month’s salary.
It successfully served as a cautionary tale for the other two who felt their hearts thump. Any little ideas they had were instantly crushed in their minds.
They decided to stay where they are... hoping that Shen Ruchu’s anger will blow over in a few days and things will get better...
"Shen Ruchu, you are neither a human being nor a thing, you wicked capitalist!"
The man was about to resign and had nothing to lose. Moreover, he had to part with a half-month’s salary.
So he decided to spend that money to curse her!
Shen Ruchu had nothing but disdain for such a clownish act. She shot him a contemptuous glance before turning to her assistant. "Take him away. After he’s gone, ensure he never returns. If he ever sends a job application again, reject it outright."
